CAIR files DOT complaint after Muslims removed from plane

As expected CAIR responds appropriately: "CAIR Files DOT Complaint After Muslims Kicked Off AirTran Flight," from the Earth Times, January 2:

WASHINGTON, Jan. 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- A prominent national Islamic civil rights and advocacy group today filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) following an incident Thursday in which nine Muslim passengers were removed from an AirTran Airways flight at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.[...]
In its DOT complaint, CAIR wrote:
"It is incumbent on any airline to ensure that members of the traveling public are not singled out or mistreated based on their perceived race, religion or national origin. We believe this disturbing incident would never have occurred had the Muslim passengers removed from the plane not been perceived by other travelers and airline personnel as members of the Islamic faith."

Maybe not, but this begs the question: why were/are travelers apprehensive of flying with Muslims in the first place? Could it be that, since 1984, 20 of the 27 airplane hijackings have been carried out by Muslims? Moreover, since 9/11, the lion’s share of dramatic and fatal terrorist attacks carried around the world—such as the Bali nightclub bombing, where 202 were killed, or the Madrid train bombings, where 191 killed, or the Chechen hostage crisis, where 344 civilians, including 186 children were killed, or the London train bombings, where 52 were killed, or the Sharm al-Sheikh bombings, where 64 were killed, or most recently the Mumbai bombings, where some 200 were killed, not to mention 9/11's 3,000—have all been committed by Muslims? Maybe CAIR should investigate this "phenomenon" first, before insisting that obvious Muslim males and little old women should be perceived by airport security equally?

The problem with waiting to "say something" until you actually "see something," is that you will probably be too little too late to make a difference.

Awad said CAIR publishes a "Know Your Rights and Responsibilities" pocket guide that includes advice for airline passengers who believe they have been treated in a discriminatory manner.
The guide states: "As an airline passenger, you are entitled to courteous, respectful and non-stigmatizing treatment by airline and security personnel. You have the right to complain about treatment that you believe is discriminatory." It also recommends that passengers ask for the names of all persons involved in an incident and to ask specifically if they have been singled out because of their "name, looks, dress, race, ethnicity, faith, or national origin."

And Reuters reports on the destruction of a mosque in which women and children were praying with no mention (of course) of Hamas' practice of using civilians as human shields, and only scant and skeptical reference to their practice of hiding weapons and munitions in mosques. GAZA (Reuters) - Israeli forces hit the Gaza Strip from land, sea and air on Saturday, stepping up their offensive against Hamas in the Palestinian enclave as tanks and troops waited on the border for a possible ground offensive.
In the bloodiest incident of the day, an air strike on a mosque killed 11 Palestinian civilians, including children, and wounded dozens as they prayed, Hamas officials said.
Hamas kept up its rocket attacks on southern Israel in defiance of international calls for it to halt such actions.
As the Israeli offensive entered its second week, prospects of a ceasefire any time soon looked dim.
"I hope the results of this operation will bring about quiet in the long term. The moment they fire, we will respond with great force," Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said on Israeli TV.
"It could be that several operations will be needed in this regard."
Witnesses said the air strike on the mosque in the town of Beit Lahiya took place as people prayed inside. At least 11 civilians were killed and 50 wounded, Hamas and medical officials said.
Rescuers pulled people from the debris and the bodies of victims lay in pools of blood, the witnesses said.
An Israeli military spokesman had no immediate comment. Israel has targeted mosques previously saying that Hamas had used them as command posts and fire bases....

The muslims are nortorious for using women and children as human shields and then cry foul when some of their pecious martyrs are killed. They are celebrated in Gaza, but the rest of the world think that they are mourning these poeple. Look at the pictures, how many women and children do you actually see with any blood on them? No one was injured in the incident early Monday at Temple Sholom of Chicago.
Chicago police and the Chicago fire department are investigating the arson as a hate crime. No one was in custody Monday....

UK soldiers in Afghanistan have killed British Muslims fighting alongside the Taliban, commanders claim.Military intelligence reports suggest that a small number of UK nationals are among the range of foreign fighters who regularly clash with British troops in Afghanistan.
British military sources have told The Daily Telegraph that they believe that some of those Britons have been killed fighting against their own country's forces.
The revelation comes amid growing concern among British military and intelligence officials about militants based in Pakistan launching attacks on British interests in Afghanistan and at home.
Foreign fighters enter Afghanistan from Pakistan's lawless border areas, home to the reconstituted al-Qaeda leadership.
British commanders in Helmand say that they have intelligence suggesting that British Muslims are among the enemies they face, albeit in small numbers.
"We're talking about ones and twos at a time," said one officer. "It's not big numbers, but they are there, definitely."
Some of those British Muslims may have been killed in battle with British troops, military sources said.
Confirmation is near-impossible, but British troop commanders believe that UK nationals are among the enemy dead.
One officer said: "We can't say for sure. If they don't carry passports, who can you say what nationality a corpse is? But it's a reasonable assumption that we've killed some of them."[...]
Patrick Mercer, the chairman of the House of Commons sub-committee on counter-terrorism, said it was "to be expected" that British Muslims were among the enemy dead in Afghanistan.

The UK is doomed to be taken over by muslims. Politically correct policies are allowing muslims to have multiple wives collect welfare even though polygamy is illegal in the UK. North Carolina aquatic center says yes to sharia law - makes public pool private for Muslim women

Sharia law is really neat to the good folks in North Carolina. It makes sense for businesses and service providers to submit to sharia law. Or else we will sue them. A UNC-Chapel Hill professor sees it simply as ‘Muslims learning to operate within American civic institutions’ and he’s right. Muslims are learning how to convert public, integrated institutions into private, segregated, sharia-compliant institutions right here in America. “It’s created a lot of excitement,” said Doracy Harrison, program manager at the Curran Aquatic Center. “It’s been really neat.”
For the Sheikhs, the success of the class is a lesson in cultural adjustment. “It makes sense for business and service providers to accommodate the needs of the community,” Salman Sheikh said. “All it takes is dialogue to make it happen.”
Salman Sheikh was organizing a swim class for his two sons last summer when fellow Muslim parents approached him about starting a class for girls.
Sheikh told them he would ask the Curran Aquatic Center in Cary whether it could accommodate a group of Muslims who preferred a women-only pool.

Yes, of course, the leaders of the aquatic center said, and showed him a 15-yard pool that could be rented for $170 an hour.

Problem was, the small pool overlooked a larger, Olympic-size pool, and Sheikh wondered whether the center could provide blinds to cover the windows and shield the women from onlookers.

Sure, the center’s leaders said, but it would cost $3,000 for custom-made blinds. Sheikh was ready to drop the idea. But the Muslim community in Raleigh and Cary wouldn’t let him.
This type of accommodation to the religious requirements of their faith is something Muslims are seeing more. All-Muslim Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops have cropped up across the country. Muslims are entering politics, studying Islam at major American universities, even finding halal, or ritually slaughtered foods, at local stores.

PLANES WIPE OUT MOSQUE ARSENAL

Israel raised the ante in its five-day Gaza Strip offensive by blasting a mosque that it said had been turned into a bomb warehouse and terrorist hideout.
Several people were hurt in the airstrike, which left only the Gaza City mosque's minaret standing, Palestinian officials said.
The escalation in the fighting came as Hamas lobbed a barrage of 60 more rockets deep into Israel and Israel rejected, at least temporarily, a French-led appeal for a two-day truce.
The head of Israel's Shin Bet intelligence agency, Yuval Diskin, said Israel had already blasted 130 rocket launchers - and the success of the airstrikes had forced Hamas to turn dozens of mosques into arsenals and command centers.
"Many Hamas officials are hiding in mosques throughout Gaza, out of the assumption that Israel will avoid attacking Muslim houses of worship," he told the Israeli Cabinet yesterday.
Other Hamas chiefs have "disguised themselves as doctors and nurses" in hospitals, he said.
The military said terrorist cells had been firing rockets from the mosque grounds as early as yesterday morning. The airstrike touched off explosions from stockpiled munitions inside the mosque.
Nevertheless, Hamas continued to send powerful rockets nearly 30 miles inside Israel.
In a new barrage yesterday, a Hamas rocket landed inside a classroom of an evacuated schoolhouse in Beersheba, a city of more than 200,000 people.
Four Israelis were slightly wounded in other rocket attacks on the towns of Ashdon and Ashkelon.
Meanwhile, Gaza officials put the death toll at more than 390 since the Israeli offensive began Saturday, including 200 uniformed Hamas security officers.

Israeli strike kills Hamas top dog; AP says this "escalates campaign"

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip – Israel dropped a one-ton bomb on the home of a Hamas strongman Thursday, killing him along with two wives and four children in the first attack on the top leadership of Gaza's rulers. As the aerial bombardment escalated, the army said it was also poised to launch a ground invasion. Israel also appeared to be sounding out a possible diplomatic exit from the 6-day-old military offensive against Hamas by demanding international monitors as a key term of any future truce.

The bombing targeted 49-year-old Nizar Rayan, ranked among Hamas' top five decision-makers in Gaza. His four-story apartment building crashed to the ground, sending a thick plume of smoke into the air and heavily damaging neighboring buildings. It killed Rayan and 11 others, including two of his four wives and four of his 12 children, Palestinian health officials said. The Muslim faith allows men to have up to four wives.
Israel has made clear that no one in Hamas is immune in this offensive, and the strike that flattened Rayan's apartment building in the northern town of Jebaliya drove that message home.
"We are trying to hit everybody who is a leader of the organization, and today we hit one of their leaders," Israeli Vice Premier Haim Ramon said in a television interview.

Hamas leaders went into hiding before Israel launched the offensive on Saturday, but Rayan was known for openly defying Israel, and the military said he had a tunnel under his house that could serve as an escape route.

Hamas women vow to become "martyrdom-seekers" by detonating among the "apes and pigs"

And the world is worried about the deaths of "innocent" women and children? There is no such thing as an innocent muslim.

As Ibn Taymiyya demonstrated some 700 years past, "Defensive warfare is the most critical form of warfare, [since we are] warding off an invader from [our] sanctities and religion. It is a unanimously accepted duty. After belief, there is no greater duty than to repulse the invading enemy who corrupts faith and the world. There are no rules or conditions for this; he must be expelled by all possible means. Our learned ulama and others have all agreed to this. It is imperative to distinguish between repulsing the invading, oppressive infidel [Defensive Jihad] and pursuing him in his own lands [Offensive Jihad]."

In other words, after faith itself, nothing is more obligatory to Muslims than "repelling" invading infidels -- which, of course, is precisely how Israel's actions are being rationalized. Moreover, there are "no rules or conditions" involved: i.e., suicide-bombings are unquestionably valid. The jihad against Israel is therefore obligatory to all Muslims -- including women and children; the latter need not even receive permission from their fathers, which may be required before going on an offensive jihad.

Israel tries to minimize civilian casualties, Hamas tries to maximize them

Israel targets an apartment building where weapons are being stored. The Israelis warn people to leave. Hamas tries to get people to stay and act as human shields -- and if they had succeeded in this, of course, they would have trumpeted to the world the deaths of more innocents at the hands of the bloodthirsty Zionists.

Leaders at the local mosque urged neighbors to converge on the apartment building and act as human shields, she added. No one heeded the call, however, so the Hamas militants fled. [...]

Oh brave muslims, if it were not for the human shields you would never stand and fight. You are all cowards. If you can't claim that Israel is killing women and children you won't stand and fight.

Iran: "Volunteer student suicide groups ... are determined to go to Gaza"

Hard-line Iranian student groups have asked the government to authorize volunteers to go carry out suicide bombings in Israel in response to the Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip.
The government of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had not responded to the call by Wednesday. Five hard-line student groups and a conservative clerical group launched a registration drive on Monday, seeking volunteers to carry out suicide attacks against Israel.

In an open letter to Ahmadinjead, the students said "volunteer student suicide groups ... are determined to go to Gaza. You are expected to issue orders to the relevant authorities in order to pave the way for such action." A copy of the letter was made available to The Associated Press on Wednesday.

Volunteer suicide groups have made similar requests in the past and the government never responded to their calls. Some hard-liners have claimed previously they succeeded in secretly sending bombers to Israel, but their claims have never been verified, and there has not been any sign of Iranians carrying out suicide attacks in Israel — raising the likelihood the groups' activities are mainly for propaganda purposes....

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) - In four days of Israeli airstrikes, Rasha Khaldeh has already fled twice.
First she left her home, fearing Israeli warplanes would target her Hamas neighbors, only to be forced from her uncle’s house when it began to sway during nearby shelling.
Borders to the tiny territory are closed, and Gazans don’t know where to turn for refuge.
Hemmed in, Khaldeh, a secular university student, resorted to Muslim prayers and lowered the ring of her cell phone, a move to help her identify the approach of Israeli pilotless drones.
The strikes have killed more than 370 people, including at least 60 civilians, according to a U.N. tally. Most bombs hit their intended target, but the damage spreads to surrounding areas.
Borders with Egypt and Israel have been sealed for the most part since the militant group Hamas seized power of Gaza in June last year, confining 1.4 million residents in the coastal territory, 25 miles long and six to nine miles wide.
Even those who managed to flee to Egypt during a border breach on Sunday were returned to the coastal territory.
“Asylum (is) being totally denied to Gaza’s population. They have to stay in this tiny, dangerous place,” said Karen Abu Zayd, of the U.N. aid agency for Palestinian refugees.
On the Israeli side of the border, attacks by Hamas have killed four people since the weekend, and sent many more running for bomb shelters—some of them in cities under threat of attack for the first time, as the range of the rockets grows.
“It’s very scary,” said Yaacov Pardida, a 55-year-old resident of Ashdod, southern Israel’s largest city, which was hit Monday. “I never imagined that this could happen, that they could reach us here.”
Israel has warned Gazans of air strikes through leaflet drops—including one Tuesday that said the network of underground tunnels linking Gaza with Egypt, some used to smuggle weapons, would be bombed. And they have broadcast radio announcements telling residents to flee their homes if they are hiding weapons or militants.
But many Gazans do not know what their neighbors are hiding, and in crowded communities missile strikes can inflict damage beyond their intended targets. So, residents are left to second-guess the Israeli military.
Khaldeh, 22, fled with her family from their central Gaza Strip home late Sunday after Israel began striking the homes of Hamas militants. Her neighbors are local Hamas field leaders, and the family feared Israel would target the nearby home, putting them at risk.
They sped to a relative’s apartment in a Gaza City high-rise—but were only safe for two days. Early Tuesday, Israeli aircraft pounded nearby Hamas government buildings, causing the apartment building to sway wildly. Fearing it would collapse, the family went back to their home in central Gaza.
“I don’t know what’s safe anymore,” said Khaldeh, who keeps a tiny Muslim holy book, the Quran, encased in a gold box on a necklace, hoping it will keep her safe.
Some Gazans believe the key to their safety is staying in apartments next to sand dunes, which they believe will absorb blast waves from nearby explosions.
While other Gazans have taken up new rituals to help ease their concerns.
Anis Mansour, 22, who lives in the town of Rafah near the Egyptian border, briefly mumbles a prayer for his safe return every time he leaves his house.
Omar Azayzeh, a 34-year-old medic, works extra hours hoping that by helping save others he’ll shield his family from harm. His wife, meanwhile, keeps their apartment windows open in an effort to avoid glass shattering near their three young children.
Azayzeh lives in a compound with his extended family about 200 feet from a Hamas-run medical center in the central Gaza town of Deir al-Balah. After Israel bombed the Hamas-run Islamic University in Gaza City on Sunday, Azayzeh worried the center would also become a target.

With a very large Palestinian Muslim population in that city, it's hardly a mystery who would pick now--in the midst of Israel's bombardment of Gaza terrorists--to attack a synagogue in America. We don't have the name of the person, but here's a name to blame: ISLAM.

A Molotov cocktail thrown early today against the wall of one of Chicago's oldest synagogues caused minimal physical damage but worried local Jewish officials, who said the incident could be a response to the latest fighting in the Middle East.

"I can't help but think there's a relationship," said Roger Rudich, president of Temple Sholom of Chicago, 3480 N. Lake Shore Drive. No one was hurt in the arson that police are investigating as a hate crime. Bomb and arson detectives were at the scene Monday afternoon and the investigation was ongoing, said Chicago police officer Daniel O'Brien.

O'Brien said the fire "extinguished itself, nothing ever caught fire." No suspect was in custody as of Monday afternoon, he said.

"The offender drove off and made a derogatory statement" to a witness, and police were working to obtain and review surveillance equipment in the area, said O'Brien.

If you are a Jew in America, don't fool yourself. Your synagogue, school, or Jewish community center could be next. And you Christians, Hindus, etc., you're next on the list.

Topless ban to protect Muslims and Asians: Nile

It is going to start out with making women put on tops and then it will be that the bikini is offensive. Non-muslims will have to cover up like the muslims. If they want to walk around with bags on their bodies, fine. Don't impose your will on the rest of us.

Conservative MP Fred Nile says he wants topless bathing banned in NSW to protect Sydney's Muslim and Asian communities.
The Reverend Nile has rejected allegations that prudishness is behind a bill he has prepared to ban nudity, including topless sunbathing, on the state's most popular beaches.
Australia's reputation as a conservative but culturally inclusive sociery was at risk of erosion by more liberal overseas visitors, he said.
"Our beaches should be a place where no one is offended, whether it's their religious or cultural views," he said.
"If they've come from a Middle Eastern or Asian country where women never go topless - in fact they usually wear a lot of clothing - I think it's important to respect all the different cultures that make up Australia."
The practice was at risk of raising the ire of Muslim men in particular, Mr Nile said.

Acting Premier Carmel Tebbutt and the NSW Opposition Leader, Barry O'Farrell, have both said that topless bathing is an issue for local councils, not state governments.
But Mr Nile said he believed most politicians would come around once all the issues were considered.
"I think if you survey Australian women you'll find a lot of women would be uncomfortable if it became the custom [to be] topless at the beach," he said.
"Australia's always been a conservative country as far as beachwear goes.
"Once being topless is accepted as lawful the next question will be why can't women go totally nude on a public beach and I don't think Australians want to go down that pathway."
