UN Watch obtained a copy of the Pakistani-authored proposal after it was distributed today among Geneva diplomats attending the current session of the UN Human Rights Council. Entitled "Combating defamation of religions," it mentions only Islam.

While non-binding, the resolution constitutes a dangerous threat to free speech everywhere. It would ban any perceived offense to Islamic sensitivities as a "serious affront to human dignity" and a violation of religious freedom, and would pressure U.N. member states -- at the "local, national, regional and international levels" -- to erode free speech guarantees in their "legal and constitutional systems."

It's an Orwellian text that distorts the meaning of human rights, free speech, and religious freedom, and marks a giant step backwards for liberty and democracy worldwide.

The first to suffer will be moderate Muslims in the countries that are behind this resolution, like Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Pakistan, who seek international legitimacy for state-sanctioned blasphemy laws that stifle religious freedom and outlaw conversions from Islam to other faiths.
Next to suffer from this U.N.-sanctioned McCarthyism will be writers and journalists in the democratic West, with the resolution targeting the media for the "deliberate stereotyping of religions, their adherents and sacred persons."

Ultimately, it is the very notion of individual human rights at stake, because the sponsors of this resolution seek not to protect individuals from harm, but rather to shield a specific set of beliefs from any question, debate, or critical inquiry.

The resolution's core premise -- that "defamation of religion" exists as legal concept -- is a distortion. The law on defamation protects the reputations of individuals, not beliefs. It also requires an examination of the truth or falsity of the challenged remarks -- a determination that no one, especially not the UN, is capable of undertaking concerning any religion.

Kabul police commander: Taliban at city gates

The report blames low wages for police for the corruption and security risks in Kabul; while that may be a contributing factor, no amount of money will un-corrupt a corrupt official. That becomes a particular problem in higher levels of the Afghan government, which helps to explain the lack of funding for the crucial matter of Kabul's security despite the flow of foreign aid.

KABUL, Afghanistan (CNN) -- A top Taliban commander has told CNN his insurgents are poised and ready to attack Kabul and could strike virtually anywhere in the city.

It would be tempting to put this down to Taliban propaganda except one of Kabul's top cops is saying the same thing.

"We are working on a security strategy for the city and if we don't get it right, they [the Taliban] can attack at any minute, at any hour, any time," says Commander Mohammed Daud Amin, in charge of securing the Kabul district that includes the Presidential Palace and many government ministries.

Proof of the menacing threat came just last month when eight Taliban fighters, bristling with weapons and suicide vests, burst into three government buildings in the center of Kabul. [...]

With low wages comes low morale and an invitation to corruption -- Afghanistan's police are regularly accused of being on the take.

And yet their jobs couldn't be more crucial in trying to keep together the country's fragile security.

Take Kabul, a city clogged with somewhere between four and five million people -- no one knows for sure -- and traffic to match that human crush. It's not hard to see how eight Taliban fighters seemed to so easily slip into the city last month. "They used government cars with tinted glass and we have no authority to stop them" says Abdulla Mahbob, a police officer at one of Kabul's key checkpoints.

Still, coalition forces have no choice by to keep rooting for Kabul's cops. By the end of the year, NATO will hand over much of the responsibility for securing the capital to the city's police force.

And that will be a crucial test to see if this city and this country can stand on its own, even with the Taliban standing at the gate.

Brits call for crackdown on Muslims abusing returning soldiers

Not to worry, though: Akbar Dad Khan, of Luton's Building Bridges organisation assures us that, "They are about 10 to 15 hotheads. The best thing to do is just to ignore them. They do not represent the views of the community."

Politicians and families of dead soldiers have united in urging the Government to crack down on the outlawed al Muhajiroun organisation after British soldiers were abused by Muslim protestors in Luton.

The outcry over soldiers in uniform being verbally attacked has continued after a Muslim preacher who was formerly the member of a now illegal group accused them of being "cowards" and "brutal murderers".

Internet sites have been swamped with families horrified at the men of 2nd Bn The Royal Anglians being confronted with placards that branded them as killers, rapists and terrorists.

The small group of demonstrators in Luton are thought to have links with al-Muhajiroun an organisation that has been outlawed by the Government.

Patrick Mercer, MP, the former Tory Homeland Security spokesman, said the law must be "upheld" to ensure banned groups are targeted.

"If an organisation is proscribed then the government must stop it from operating publicly particularly in such an inflammatory and dangerous way," he said.

His words came after the outspoken preacher Anjem Choudary, a former member of al-Muhajiroun, posted a message on an extremist Islamic website in which he called the marchpast a "vile parade" of "brutal murderers".

The homecoming was to "demonstrate their skill at murdering and torturing thousands of innocent Muslim men, women and children", he wrote.

Mr Choudary now leads a group that wants Britain to become an Islamic state and ruled by Sharia law.

I personally would love to put a bullet in between Choudary's eyes at close range. He is a hate preacher that wants to destroy the West. Why is he allowed to do this?

UK Muslim who hurled abuse at troops has been working as airport baggage handler

A Muslim extremist who works as a baggage handler at Luton Airport had his security pass suspended today after it was revealed he took part in a protest hurling abuse at British troops.
Jalal Ahmed was among the 20-strong group of extremists protesting when the Royal Anglian Regiment returned home from Iraq earlier this week.

During their homecoming parade, he was spotted clutching a banner proclaiming: 'Anglian soldiers: Butchers of Basra'.

After he was revealed to be part of the hate-filled demonstration, his pass allowing him to go airside and work at the airport was revoked.

Ahmed, who is in his twenties and lives in Luton, works on a casual basis for Menzies Aviation, which provides baggage handling at the airport for easyJet and other airlines.

He is believed to have worked there during peak periods over the past two years and would have had access to secure areas of the site....

Dutch authorities foil terrorist attack planned by, uh, people

Who was going to do this? People. Men. Well, six men and one woman. Suspects. A person. Uh, Dutch people of Moroccan ancestry, and, er, one of them was a relative of one of the 2004 Madrid jihad attackers.

Hmmmm. What could have been motivating these people, these men, these suspects, these Dutch nationals of Moroccan ancestry? Could it be...the doctrines of Islamic jihad and supremacism?

AMSTERDAM – Dutch police on Thursday arrested seven people suspected of preparing a terrorist attack in Amsterdam, including a relative of one of the attackers who died in the 2004 bombings in Madrid.

Mayor Job Cohen said police were acting on an anonymous tip that warned an Ikea outlet or other stores in the southeast of the city might be targeted.

"It wasn't a regular bomb warning, but a warning of a planned action aimed at creating casualties in shops," Cohen said.

"Men were planning to put explosives in the shops and wanted to cause casualties in busy places," he said.

Police received the tip Wednesday night from an unregistered cell phone in Belgium. The tip also included names of one suspect and locations for police to search.

Early Thursday, authorities shut down a major Amsterdam shopping street near the ArenA soccer stadium and sealed off the nearby Ikea store. A concert by the American band "The Killers" was canceled.

District Attorney Herman Bolhaar said six men and one woman, aged 19-64, were arrested in Amsterdam. All are Dutch nationals of Moroccan ancestry.

"As far as we can tell, none involved has a history of terrorist involvement," he said at a news conference, though one suspect is related to "a person who exactly five years ago was involved in the attack in Madrid."

Police Commissioner Bernard Welten said the suspect's relative died shortly after the Madrid attacks "as a result of a suicide action."...

Grand jury convenes in FBI terror case against Minneapolis Muslims, mosque

"[I]nvestigators are trying to determine who organized the missing group of men [who went a jihading in Somalia], who financed them and how were they recruited" -- all to which their mosque cries foul play, also insisting that it is "unfair" to accuse the mosque of "facilitating in any way, shape, or form the travel of those youth." So what if mosques have a long track-record of "radicalizing" Muslims, or if Saudi Arabia influences 80% of America's mosques, or if Muslims living in the West regularly spew their hatred against all infidels and apostates in mosques?

Federal authorities are looking to bring terror-related charges against one or more Somali-Americans from the Minneapolis area, and witnesses to the case have been subpoenaed to testify before a federal grand jury, according to a Muslim leader in the area and a woman who said she testified before the grand jury this morning.

For several months the FBI has been investigating about a dozen Somali-American men who disappeared from their homes in the Minneapolis area late last year and may have joined terrorist groups overseas. One of the men, 27-year-old Shirwa Ahmed, later blew himself up in Somalia. The FBI recently called him the first U.S. citizen to carry out a suicide bombing, and FBI Director Mueller said he was "radicalized in his hometown in Minnesota."

The FBI has interviewed at least 50 people in the Somali community and subpoenaed at least 10 people to testify before a grand jury in Minneapolis, according to Farhan Hurre, the director of the Abubakar As-Saddique Islamic Center in St. Paul, one of the largest mosques in the Twin Cities. He said most of those subpoenaed are students at the University of Minnesota. At least two of the men still missing were students at the University of Minnesota.

A woman who identified herself as a 20-year-old student at the University of Minnesota said she testified before the grand jury this morning, after receiving a subpoena on Friday. A copy of the subpoena obtained by Fox News says, "You are hereby commanded to appear and testify before the Grand Jury of the United States District Court." The subpoena told her to appear at 9 a.m. local time.[...]

Hurre said he was told a case has been opened against at least one unidentified person. He said authorities are now "trying to bring the pieces together of what's going on here" in Minneapolis. Specifically, he said investigators are trying to determine who organized the missing group of men, who financed them and how were they recruited.

It's unclear whether any charges would target the missing men or someone outside of the group. A spokesman for the FBI Field Office in Minneapolis declined comment. Likewise, a spokesman with the Justice Department's National Security Division said he can't confirm or deny matters relating to a possible grand jury.

The Abubakar As-Saddique Islamic Center has received some unwanted attention, including threatening e-mails and phone calls, after it was revealed that Ahmed and some of the other missing men had ties to the mosque. In a statement posted online, the mosque says suggestions that it had any role in the disappearance of the Somali men are "unfair" and untrue.

"Abubakar Center didn't recruit, finance, or otherwise facilitate in any way, shape, or form the travel of those youth," the statement says.

Hurre said the media attention and subsequent backlash are "destroying our community."

Last month the mosque invited the FBI to meet with community and religious leaders to discuss the missing men and other issues affecting the Somali-American community in Minnesota.

Hurre said the FBI called this morning to say they are now "ready to meet." A meeting between the FBI and the Abubakar As-Saddique Islamic Center is scheduled for Thursday.Now, since the FBI claims to have broken ties with CAIR, hopefully this meeting won't degenerate into a "sensitivity training" session once again.

Hurre said it will be the first meeting between the FBI and the mosque since federal authorities launched their investigation.

At a forum in Washington two weeks ago, FBI Director Robert Mueller said the trend of young men "radicalized and recruited" in the United States to take up arms overseas "in particular concerns us."

"It raises the question of whether these young men will one day come home, and, if so, what they might undertake here," he said...

If these muslims come home, we need to use racial and religious profiling. We also need to play cowboys and muslims. They are going over seas for training in the way of jihad. This is what is happening in the EU and look how well things are going there. We need to stop all muslim immigration to the US, prohibit all religious training in prison, and segregate all prisoners by muslim or not. This is a need to do. To hell with their rights, they gave them up when they got convicted.

The Kuran is full of hatred towards unbelievers. The Hadith is even worse. It goes into the gory details of the kinds of "punishments" Muhammed meted out to people for even petty offenses. Judge for yourself. Here are some of the Hadith where Muhammad shows his kindness. All of them are from Sunan Abu-Dawud (the Hadith that provides most of the Shari'a law on various punishments).

In this Hadith, Muhammad shows once again just how much he hates polytheists. It is Hadith such as this one that directly caused many Hindus to be tortured to death in the most cruel manner imaginable during the dark centuries of Islamic rule. Note that for polytheists, repenting does not save them from such a harsh fate.

Book 38, Number 4359:Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas:The verse "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Apostle, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite side or exile from the land...most merciful" was revealed about polytheists. If any of them repents before they are arrested, it does not prevent from inflicting on him the prescribed punishment which he deserves.

Now Muhammad orders an adulterer to be stoned to death (there are many Hadith on stoning to death).

Book 38, Number 4364:Narrated Nu'aym:Ma'iz came to the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) and admitted (having committed adultery) four times in his presence so he ordered him to be stoned to death, but said to Huzzal: If you had covered him with your garment, it would have been better for you.

This time, Muhammad orders the hand of a petty thief chopped off.

Book 38, Number 4367:Narrated AbuUmayyah al-Makhzumi:A thief who had accepted (having committed theft) was brought to the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him), but no good were found with him. The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him), said to him: I do not think you have stolen. He said: Yes, I have. He repeated it twice or thrice. So he gave orders. His hand was cut off and he was then brought to him. He said: Ask Allah's pardon and turn to Him in repentance. He said: I ask Allah's pardon and turn to Him in repentance. He (the Prophet) then said: O Allah, accept his repentance.

UK jihadist protesters say they will target soldiers returning from Iraq again

Good thing the Brits didn't let Geert Wilders into the country to stir up intercommunity strife, eh?

Islamist extremists in the UK are plotting to repeat their protest of yesterday in which they held up banners labelling British troops on their homecoming parade as "cowards" and "butchers".

The Islam for the UK group, believed to be a spin-off of the extremist al-Muhajiroun, called for similar rallies against other regiments coming home following protests in Luton town centre targeting the 2nd Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment.

Members of the local community in Luton claim that the protesters were members of al-Muhajiroun itself, a virulently anti-Semitic organisation which claimed to have been disbanded in 2004. Its founders replaced it with two spin-off groups, both of which were then subsequently made illegal by the Government for glorifying terrorism.

The Home Office said today that anyone found to be guilty of belonging to a banned organisation would be prosecuted, and that it was constantly reviewing whether to ban further groups emerging throughout the UK.

The group of demonstrators - who held up placards in Luton town centre with slogans including: "Anglian Soldiers: Butchers of Basra", "Anglian Soldiers: cowards, killers, extremists" and "British Government Terrorist Government" and hurled verbal abuse at passing soldiers - were described by the local MP as having brought "disgrace" to Luton.

Yet in a statement posted on its website, Islam for the UK said further protests in a similar vein were needed, labelled the British troops as "terrorists" and compared them to the Nazis. Islam for the UK is run by Anjem Choudhury, the radical preacher who was right hand man to Omar Bakri Mohammed, former al-Muhajiroun leader....

A Muslim preacher of hate today ridiculed British soldiers who were abused during a homecoming parade - branding them cowards who have an 'uncanny knack for death by friendly fire'.

Firebrand preacher Anjem Choudary praised the Muslims who had protested at yesterday's parade for the 2nd Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment in Luton.

And in an inflammatory message posted on an Islamic extremist website, Choudary viciously mocked their comrade who was killed by friendly fire in Iraq.

His words came as police charged a man who allegedly shouted abuse at the Muslim anti-war protesters.

Choudary, who has links with banned Muslim cleric Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed, likened the soldiers to Nazis and branded yesterday's homecoming a 'vile parade' of 'brutal murderers'.

Choudary said: 'On 10th March 2009 200 pathetic and cowardly British soldiers from the second battalion, of the Royal Anglian Regiment, pompously marched through Luton to demonstrate their skill at murdering and torturing thousands of innocent Muslim men, women and children (in Iraq) over a 24-month period.'

Choudary leads the controversial Islam For The UK organisation which wants Britain to be an Islamic state, ruled by Sharia law.

His group was formed after Bakri's fundamentalist organisation Al-Muhajiroun was banned by the Government.

He said: 'Non-Muslims in Britain must appreciate that the actions of the British soldiers must be condemned unreservedly; they are not heroes but closer to cowards who cannot fight, as their uncanny knack for death by 'friendly fire' illustrates.'...

These preachers of hate need to be thrown out of the UK. But they are so PC they will just go after the people that speak up against these muslims. The lefty loons have the West completely backwards.

Biden the Mathematician: 5% "incorrigible" Taliban + 25% on the fence = 70% "moderate"

BRUSSELS: Vice President Joe Biden said at least 70 percent of Taliban guerrillas in Afghanistan are mercenaries who could be persuaded to lay down their arms, stepping up U.S. calls for outreach to “moderate” elements of the insurgency.

Biden said the same tactics used in Anbar province in Iraq, where radical Sunni Muslims were co-opted by American financial support, could work in Afghanistan as part of President Barack Obama’s strategy for winning the war raging since 2001.

“Five percent of the Taliban is incorrigible, not susceptible to anything other than being defeated,” Biden told a press conference at North Atlantic Treaty Organization headquarters in Brussels today. “Another 25 percent or so are not quite sure, in my view, of the intensity of their commitment to the insurgency. Roughly 70 percent are involved because of the money.”

Insurgent activity in Afghanistan rose last year to the highest level since the U.S. ousted the Taliban after the Sept. 11 attacks, and coordinated suicide bombings last month shook the capital, Kabul.

“We are not now winning the war, but the war is far from lost,” Biden said.

Thus, according to the vice president of the U.S., 70% of the Taliban -- those guys responsible for spraying girls with acid, blowing up shrines, daily murdering infidels and apostates, fighting and dying in the name of sharia law -- are "moderate"; they only act that way because they're poor. So why not reach out to them? If only we give them lots of money, perhaps they'll go away -- only, of course, to regroup with better weapons, and come back to fight another day. But Biden and Obama will be out of office by then, so what do they care? Besides, Fareed Zakaria said so.

We should just pull out of this part of the world. They will just kill each other until the house of islam is so weak that we will be able to just walk in and mop up.

Stop the presses! Turks ignore new proof of Armenian genocide!

One constant of Islamic polemic against the West is that Muslim spokesmen never, ever acknowledge any wrongdoing by Muslims. It is always the fault of the non-Muslim party, always someone else's responsibility. This tendency manifests itself on a large scale in the ongoing Turkish denial of the Armenian genocide. Mention it, and either the Turks are irked, or -- in this case -- mum.

ISTANBUL: For Turkey, the number should have been a bombshell.

According to a long-hidden document that belonged to the interior minister of the Ottoman Empire, 972,000 Ottoman Armenians disappeared from official population records from 1915 through 1916.

In Turkey, any discussion of what happened to the Ottoman Armenians can bring a storm of public outrage. But since its publication in a book in January, the number - and its Ottoman source - has gone virtually unmentioned. Newspapers hardly wrote about it. Television shows have not discussed it.

"Nothing," said Murat Bardakci, the Turkish author and columnist who compiled the book.

The silence can mean only one thing, he said: "My numbers are too high for ordinary people. Maybe people aren't ready to talk about it yet."

For generations, most Turks knew nothing of the details of the Armenian genocide from 1915 to 1918, when more than a million Armenians were killed as the Ottoman Turk government purged the population.

Turkey locked the ugliest parts of its past out of sight, Soviet-style, keeping any mention of the events out of schoolbooks and official narratives in an aggressive campaign of forgetting.

But in the past 10 years, as civil society has flourished here, some parts of Turkish society are now openly questioning the state's version of events. In December, a group of intellectuals circulated a petition that apologized for the denial of the massacres. Some 29,000 people have signed it.

With his book, "The Remaining Documents of Talat Pasha," Bardakci (pronounced bard-AK-chuh) has become, rather unwillingly, part of this ferment. The book is a collection of documents and records that once belonged to Mehmed Talat, known as Talat Pasha, the primary architect of the Armenian deportations.

The documents, given to Bardakci by Talat's widow, Hayriye, before she died in 1983, include lists of population figures. Before 1915, 1,256,000 Armenians lived in the Ottoman Empire, according to the documents. The number plunged to 284,157 two years later, Bardakci said.

To the untrained ear, it is simply a sad statistic. But anyone familiar with the issue knows the numbers are in fierce dispute.

Turkey has never acknowledged a specific number of deportees or deaths. On Sunday, the Turkish foreign minister, Ali Babacan, warned that President Barack Obama might set back relations if he recognized the massacre of Armenians as genocide ahead of his visit to Turkey next month....

Amazing, muslims can not be guilty of genocide. That is what Israel does to the animalstinians. When the Israelis kill a few dozen terrorists it is genocide, so what a million Christians were killed by muslims. They probably deserved it.

Libyan intelligence officials torture four converts from Islam to Christianity

Islamic Tolerance Alert: there is "no compulsion" in religion (Qur'an 2:256), but that celebrated verse doesn't say anything about there being "no torture," now, does it?

WASHINGTON -- International Christian Concern (ICC) has learned that Libyan intelligence officials have detained and tortured four Christians for converting from Islam. The Christians have been imprisoned for the past seven weeks in Tripoli, Libya's capital.

Libya's External Security Organization is believed to be behind the detention and torture of the Christians, according to our sources. The security agents have barred the families from visiting the detained converts and are putting severe physical and psychological pressure on the Christians in order to force them to reveal the names of other converts. Fearing for their lives, converts from Islam are on the run....

By torturing the four Christian converts and stifling religious freedom, Libya is once again violating basic principles of the international human rights law.

It is perfectly ok for a muslim to torture a christian. But we put the hardcore ones in Gitmo and they claim torture.

Brooklyn: Muslim enters synagogue and starts proclaiming jihad

(IsraelNN.com) For the second time in less than a week, a packed Brooklyn, New York, synagogue has been the target of threats of violence by intruders.

On Monday, according to Yeshiva World News, an Arab man in his mid-30s entered Boro Park's 'Sephardish Shul' and began making proclamations of jihad. Members of a Jewish volunteer security organization, the Shomrim, apprehended the threatening individual. They held him until police officers arrived at the scene, arresting the suspect. Detectives spoke with the "Middle Eastern man" at a station house near the synagogue....

Just two days earlier, a man wielding a butcher's knife burst into a Kerestir Chassidic synagogue in Williamsburg. He initially turned up unarmed and began throwing soda cans at the gathered worshipers, which hit one of them, and returned shortly thereafter with the bladed weapon.

The attacker was prevented from using the butcher's knife on anyone by a young man, described as a "friend" of the knife-wielding intruder, who then fled together with him.

The recent attacks come just over a month after Chabad-Lubavitch World Headquarters at 770 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn was targeted in a series of English-language jihadist videos posted on the Internet. The videos and accompanying texts singled out "770," but also intimated that all Orthodox Jewish organizations were equally worthy of attack by Muslims. The threatening material included images of the 770 synagogue and study house, pictures of the police van out front, and indications of which parts of the building are crowded at what times.

The source of the thinly-veiled threats, a group called Revolution Muslim, is domestic to the United States.

This is why islam needs to be banned in the US. ALL MUSLIMS, CITIZENS OR NOT, SHOULD DEPORTED TO THE MIDDLE EAST. BETTER YET, KILL THEM ALL.

9/11 Gitmo squad: Yes, we really did it

Just in case anyone had any doubt, the Gitmo detainees held on charges relating to 9/11 want everyone to know that the US made no mistake in keeping them locked up for the last seven years. In fact, not only have they confessed to their involvement during CIA questioning, they have just issued a press release bragging about it:

The five detainees at Guantánamo Bay charged with planning the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks have filed a document with the military commission at the United States naval base there expressing pride at their accomplishment and accepting full responsibility for the killing of nearly 3,000 people.

The document, which may be released publicly on Tuesday, uses the Arabic term for a consultative assembly in describing the five men as the “9/11 Shura Council,” and it says their actions were an offering to God, according to excerpts of the document that were read to a reporter by a government official who was not authorized to discuss it publicly. …

In their filing, the men describe the planning of the Sept. 11 attacks and the killing of Americans as a model of Islamic action, and say the American government’s accusations cause them no shame, according to the excerpts read by the government official.

“To us,” the official continued reading, “they are not accusations. To us they are a badge of honor, which we carry with honor.”

Several of the men have earlier said in military commission proceedings at Guantánamo that they planned the 2001 attacks and that they sought martyrdom. The strategic goal of the five men in making the new filing, which reached the military court on March 5, was not clear.

And the HNIC wants to close Gitmo. Why? These are hardcore muslims. Remember all muslims are terrorists. Why are these guys still alive? Why have we not just killed them?

Egyptian cleric: The Jews "are enemies not because they occupied Palestine. They would have been enemies even if they did not occupy a thing."

They keep telling us that it isn't about "stolen land," and that land concessions and even the creation of a Palestinian state will not end the conflict. And we keep refusing to believe it.

Muhammad Hussein Ya’qoub: If the Jews left Palestine to us, would we start loving them? Of course not. We will never love them. Absolutely not. The Jews are infidels – not because I say so, and not because they are killing Muslims, but because Allah said: “The Jews say that Uzair is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that Christ is the son of Allah. These are the words from their mouths. They imitate the sayings of the disbelievers before. May Allah fight them. How deluded they are.” It is Allah who said that they are infidels.

Your belief regarding the Jews should be, first, that they are infidels, and second, that they are enemies. They are enemies not because they occupied Palestine. They would have been enemies even if they did not occupy a thing. Allah said: “You shall find the strongest men in enmity to the disbelievers [sic] to be the Jews and the polytheists.”

Qur'an 5:82.

Third, you must believe that the Jews will never stop fighting and killing us. They [fight] not for the sake of land and security, as they claim, but for the sake of their religion: “And they will not cease fighting you until they turn you back you’re your religion, if they can.”

Qur'an 2:217.

This is it. We must believe that our fighting with the Jews is eternal, and it will not end until the final battle – and this is the fourth point. You must believe that we will fight, defeat, and annihilate them, until not a single Jew remains on the face of the Earth.

It is not me who says so. The Prophet said: “Judgment Day will not come until you fight the Jews and kill them. The Jews will hide behind stones and trees, and the stones and tree will call: Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him – except for the Gharqad tree, which is the tree of the Jews.” I have heard that they are planting many of these trees now. [...]

Hating Jews and other unbelievers is the root to islam. The only good unbeliever is a dhimmi. I don't plan on being a dhimmi. There will be blood in the streets before this happens in the US.

Afghanistan: University students protest alleged Qur'an desecration, chant slogans against Obama

Anti-Obama slogans? The students at Nangarhar University might find themselves charged with blasphemy.

But seriously, these kinds of protests once again raise the question: is the West going to accept Islamic standards of blasphemy and refrain from speaking about Islam (including jihad aggression) in a manner that Muslims consider insulting? The implications of that are ominous.

JALALABAD (SANA): Hundreds of students of Nangarhar University in eastern Nangarhar province held a protest demonstration against the alleged desecration of holy Quran in southern Ghazni province.

The angry students also blocked Kabul-Jalalabad Highway and chanted slogans against America, Obama, coalition forces and Israel.

Protest dispersed peacefully after passing a resolution asking Afghan government and international community to compel Americans to leave Afghanistan and stop insulting Islam....

Sifatullah, a law student said that ISAF soldiers should not only apologize to Muslims but should also bring the perpetrators to book.

Samiullah, a student of Agricultural Faculty said we strongly criticize coalition forces humiliating and disgracing approaches toward our religion, women and entire nation.”...

It is to be mentioned here that Polish soldiers on Friday in southern Ghazni province have allegedly insulted Quran while searching various Mosques.

Subsequent protests in Ghazni left scores of protestors injured as they engaged in a scuffle with police.

A soldier insulted the quran? How do you insult a book? Again ignorant people with twenty first century weapons are very dangerous. I just wish we would leave the middle east. Then the sunnis and shia can all be happy killing each other.

Fort Dix jihad convictions upheld, jihadists respond, "Allahu akbar!"

They yelled "Allahu akbar" not because they approved of the upholding of their own convictions, but because they accept all events as manifestations of Allah's perfect will, and probably also because they subscribe to Muhammad Atta's view: "Shout, 'Allahu Akbar,' because this strikes fear in the hearts of the non-believers."

Also, this is noteworthy because many commentators, as might be expected, denied at the time of the trial that there was any actual jihad aspect to this plot.

CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) — A judge in New Jersey has upheld guilty verdicts against five Muslim immigrants convicted last year of plotting to massacre U.S. soldiers.

The men's lawyers argued that the federal government's claims against their clients were not supported by evidence.

But a federal judge in Camden disagreed and has ruled the jury was right to convict them in December. He said the men received a fair trial.

Relatives and several of the men yelled, "Allah akbar" (AH'-lah AHK'-bar) — Arabic for "God is great" — in the courtroom after Thursday's ruling....

Aren't these guys great? I just love the mindset of a muslim.

Afghanistan: "Violence is tolerated or condoned within the family and community, within traditional and religious leadership circles"

Two aspects of Islamic teaching figure prominently in this story. One is domestic violence, endorsed by Qur'an 4:34 . The other is child marriage, made sacrosanct by Muhammad's own example through marrying Aisha when she was 6, and consummating the marriage when she was 9.

UNITED NATIONS (CNN) -- Rapes targeting girls as young as seven are on the increase in Afghanistan where conditions for women are little better than under the Taliban, the U.N. and rights groups say."

In its annual report on human rights, the U.N. warned conditions were deteriorating in the war-ravaged country despite U.S.-led efforts after the 2001 removal from power of the hardline militia.

"Violence is tolerated or condoned within the family and community, within traditional and religious leadership circles, as well as the formal and informal justice system," said Navi Pillay, the U.N. high commissioner for human rights.

The "Afghan government has failed to adequately protect the rights of women despite constitutional guarantees."

With a resurgent Taliban targeting NATO forces, government security forces and civilians, violence has been on the increase in Afghanistan..

The number of civilian casualties in 2008 totaled 2,118 -- the highest number recorded since the ouster of the Taliban in 2001, the U.N. said, urging greater protecting for ordinary Afghans.

Violence against women comes in the form of rape, "honor killings," early and forced marriages, sexual abuse and slavery, the report says. "The security is the big issue," said Suraya Pakzad, founder of the Voice of Women Organization, which promotes education and awareness of women's rights and protects women and girls at risk in Afghanistan.

"Because of security we, unfortunately, day by day, we have to pull out of areas where last year we operated, we have our operations. We were able to work with the women, but this year we cannot," she said.

"We have to leave the area because security is getting worse day by day."

"Rapes in the country have been growing tremendously, particularly child rapes within the ages of 9, 8, 7, even lesser than that," said Wazhma Frogh, director of Global Rights Afghanistan.

"So these are the issues that are all born by this lack of security where women have no place in ... security decisions."

Domestic violence against child brides is widespread, said Suraya Pakzad, the founder of the Voice of Women organization, who was married at age 14 and has six children. She said girls as young as 10 face "violation" by husbands 40 years their senior. "By the end ... women, or girls, run away."

But women without husbands, especially widows, may have it even worse in Afghanistan, the report says. Without a spouse, the women are reduced to begging to feed their children.

Options outside the home are limited where the Taliban holds sway in Afghanistan. The Taliban's interpretation of strict Islamic law, or sharia, has included banning girls from school and the workplace.

Even in areas not overrun by the Taliban, women face risks outside the home.

"The assassination of the most prominent national female senior police officer, in Kandahar in September 2008, underscores the tremendous risks faced by women in public life," the report says.

So, the sharia is the law of the land in Afghanistan and the Somalis are fighting to be ruled by sharia. See how well islam treats its women? They are just property of muslim men. They can be baught from their fathers for the dowry. They can be divorced at the drop of a hat. They are not allowed out of the house without their guardian. This is what they would like to see in the West. We had better wake up.

Pakistan urges West, EU to shun Islamophobia

Instead, it urges the West to focus on "the root causes of terrorism, poverty, injustice and deprivation." Odd, however, that even though billions of peoples around this world suffer from "poverty, injustice, and deprivation," the Islamic world has the lion's share of terrorism. To be sure, Latin American (e.g., Cuba) and non-Muslim Asian countries (e.g., China) have their fair share of oppressive, authoritarian regimes, of poverty, and of all the rest that the Muslim world suffers. Yet there are no records of, say, practicing Christians or Buddhists crashing explosives-laden vehicles into Cuban or Chinese Communist government buildings all while screaming “Jesus is great!” or "Buddha is great!” Why?

ISLAMABAD: The Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Kashmir Affairs has urged Western countries, especially the European Union (EU), to shun ‘Islamophobia’ and try to promote a better, broader and more realistic image of Islam and Muslims in media.

Agreed: the media should definitely be dedicated to promoting "a better, broader" but above all "more realistic image of Islam and Muslims."

This was observed during a meeting between the committee and the Foreign Policy Committee of the Danish Parliament on Thursday. The Senate committee, led by Senator Mushahid Hussain, called for addressing the root causes of terrorism, poverty, injustice and deprivation, to eradicate it...

Yes it is islamophobia that is causing the muslims to riot and kill people. It is never the fault of the muslims. They are the best people on the earth. That is right from the koran, the book of hatred.

Somalia: Thousands demonstrate in Mogadishu in support of Sharia Law

While this Somali report is up front that thousands of Somalis demand sharia, Western media spin-offs, such as MSNBC's, title their version of the story, "Thousands of Somalis demand peace at rally," with little focus on sharia per se.

Horseed Media - On thursday, thousands of people took to the streets in the Somali capital Mogadishu in support of introducing the Sharia law.

The demonstrators gathered in Mogadishu Stadium, where Sheikh Ahmed Dahir Aweys the brother of opposition leader Hassan Dahir Aweys told the crowds to support the implementation of sharia law in the country.

He said it was a religious duty which should be uphold in all times.

“…the sharia is pure justice that fights with everything that is evil….” Says Sheikh Ahmed Dahir Aweys.

Today’s demonstrations was in support of the decision of the Somali religious council who last week released an advisory report calling for the new government to introduce the sharia law in the country.

The religious council said the Federal Parliament should approve the sharia law within months.
The Somali religious council also called for the African Peacekeepers AMISOM to withdraw their troops in Mogadishu within 120 days.

Sheikh Sharif Ahmed, the newly elected Somali President in a press conference last week said, he was not against the introducing of the Sharia law and that he was ready to accept a cease fire with armed groups in Mogadishu.

This is worst than communism. Once islam gains a foot hold in more countries we are going to see the re-emergence of the caliphate. Then they will be pushing for borders of muslim countries to be eliminated. The goal is one giant islamic nation. Then they will really persue the rest of the world.
