GAZA CITY — The Hamas regime acquired U.S.-origin air defense systems but was unable to use them in combat.

Hamas sources said the Islamic military has acquired the Stinger man-portable air defense system. The sources said the Stingers were acquired from smugglers in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula in 2008 and deployed in the 22-day war against Israel in January 2009.

"We were disappointed by them, and they were found to have been useless," a Hamas source said.

The source said Hamas smuggled four Stinger systems in 2008. The source said the Hamas military deployed the Stingers against Israel Air Force AH-64 Apache attack helicopters during strike missions in the northern Gaza Strip.

Gee, where did they get these from? Oh yeah, we gave them to the mujahadine in the 1980s. We are idiots to think that islam is not at war with the West.

Husband chops off wife’s nose on alleged infidelity

SUKKUR: A husband cut her wife’s nose on allegations of having illicit relations with another man here in Kashmor.

According to police, a man named Jalnar Mamdani chopped off his wife Asia Mamdani’s nose with a sharp edged tool after blaming her of having illicit relations with another man. Following the incident, the man took his two children along and escaped.

Asia Mamdani was first admitted to Kashmor Hospital and later she was shifted to Sukkur Hospital where her surgery was carried out.

Injured Asia has appealed the police for providing her security.

DCO Kashmor Syed Abid Ali Shah hoped that Jalnar Mamdani would soon be arrested.

Obama: EU membership for Turkey would be positive signal to Muslim nations

PRAGUE (AP) — President Barack Obama is urging the European Union to accept Turkey as a member, saying it would be a positive sign to the Muslim world.

Obama spoke Sunday at a luncheon for leaders of the EU's 27 nations in Prague. He said the West should seek greater cooperation and closer ties with Islamic nations. He said letting Turkey into the EU would be an important sign of those efforts.

France, Austria and other nations oppose Turkey's long-running efforts to join the European Union. EU members have urged Turkey to do more to guarantee minority rights, curb powers of its military and pass new rights for trade unions.

Turkey's population is mostly Muslim. Obama visits there Monday and Tuesday.

This cannot be allowed to happen. Turkey is about ninety five percent muslim. If allowed into the EU those muslims would be allowed to move freely to any EU nation. They would flood in an Europe would be lost to islam forever.

7. The myth: “The Quran described the development of the Embryo”

The fact: the Quranic description of the development of the embryo is completely wrong.

Muslims usually refer to the following verses

“(Q.23: 12-14) We created man from a product of wet earth, then placed him as a drop of seed in a safe lodging, then We fashioned the drop a clot, and of the clot, We fashioned a lump, and of the lump We fashioned bones, and We clothed the bones (with) meat.”

The above description of fetal development are what we would expect from the women of the seventh century Arabia, but not as we would expect from a doctor, prophet or a god. It is usual for the Quran to repeat the prevailing scientific mistakes of its time, but in the above verses it probably has gone beyond the limits. The suggestion that the skeletal system (bones) is first created then clothed with flesh is simply a lethal mistake.

When Muslims debate this issue they refer to scientific illustrations, articles and western doctors who have no clue what the Quran actually says in Arabic. I do not see the point in subjecting the above verses to scientific scrutiny because there is no science involved at all. The verses are simply a reflection of the prevailing ignorance on the subject.

The Arabs criticized Mohammed whenever he said something that looks absurd to them but on this occasion they accepted the verses without any criticism, which indicates that the verses were in parallel with the prevailing knowledge in the 7th century Arabia (8).

Crackdown on sexual grooming is widened across Lancashire

THE success of Operation Engage, a crackdown on sexual grooming of young girls in East Lancashire, has led to the scheme being rolled out elsewhere in the county.

The £250,000 project has been launched in Preston and police said three cases had been referred to them already.

As well as dealing with cases of sex exploitation the scheme will also try to give advice to people so they do not become victims.

Det Insp Steve Hobson said: “Similar units already exist in other parts of the county. It’s inconceivable child exploitation exists in other parts of the county and not in Preston.

“Some have been extremely significant cases and usually see older males exploiting young vulnerable females.

“The referrals we have had include two to three cases of children in care who have been groomed by older Asian males, taken out of the area and abused by other men.”

Operation Engage was launched in Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley in 2006.

A year later, following the success of Engage, officers in Pennine Division, which covers Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale, set up Operation Freedom.

Ex-sailor sentenced to 10 years in terror case

New Haven, Conn. (AP) - A former Navy sailor convicted of leaking details about ship movements and the best ways to attack them was sentenced today to the maximum 10 years in prison.

U.S. District Judge Mark Kravitz said Hassan Abu-Jihaad, of Phoenix, betrayed his country and endangered his fellow sailors.

“I cannot really overstate the seriousness of this crime,” Kravitz said. The leak “does constitute a fundamental betrayal of your country and of your oath. You endangered your colleagues, you endangered your vessel and other vessels and other sailors, and you endangered your country.”

Abu-Jihaad was convicted last year of disclosing classified national defense information.

Prosecutors labeled him a traitor who was trying to help foreign terrorists replicate the bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 American sailors.

Abu-Jihaad did not speak during the hearing. His attorney, Dan LaBelle, said his client maintained his innocence and appreciated the fairness of the court.

He said his client’s demeanor in court has been “very remarkable.”

Prosecutor William Nardani encouraged Kravitz to consider Abu-Jihaad’s actions, not his demeanor in court. He said the former sailor praised the Cole bombing as an operation carried out by martyrs.

“That is a twisted view of the world,” Nardani said.

Kravitz said Abu-Jihaad’s sentence should be a deterrent for anyone who supports terrorism.

“We happen to be engaged in a very different struggle right now,” Kravitz said. “It’s really a struggle about the fundamentals of freedom. That struggle will go on for quite some time and we need to ensure the people that are part of that struggle on our end uphold the oath and protect classified information from getting into the hands of those who stand opposed to those concepts of freedom.”

Abu-Jihaad was also convicted on a charge of providing material support to terrorists, but Kravitz overturned the conviction last month, citing the language of the law.

With a name of Abu-Jihaad one would think that the Navy would have maybe looked into this guy before this could have happened?

German police accuse Kurdish men of "honour killing"

Kleve, Germany - German police charged Thursday that the grisly death of a 20-year-old ethnic Kurdish woman had been an 'honour killing,' and that her brother had confessed to the crime.

Germans have been outraged at a recent series of execution-style honour killings of young women by immigrant families.

The murder of Gulsum S, 20, on a lonely country road one month ago had been made to look as it were a robbery, said police in Kleve, near the Dutch border, as they announced the arrest and remand in custody of the victim's brother, 20, and father.

Prosecutors said Gulsum was lured by a false story to the side road near the small town of Rees on March 2. Her sibling, who was also a triplet to Gulsum, allegedly choked her unconscious with a clothes line. She was then clubbed to death.

The brother admitted to the killing, but the father denied the charge of joint murder, police said.

Police said the family had attempted to force Gulsum into a planned marriage and then discovered she was not a virgin and had undergone one or more abortions.

Gulsum had left home last year with the help of welfare officials and moved to a safe house, but then returned home to Rees.

The brother had taken Gulsum's purse so as to make the killing look like a fatal mugging.

Honour killings occur in conservative central Asian societies which view female premarital sex as a stain on their reputation.

Pennsylvania: Suicide vest found in house

MOUNT WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Workers cleaning out a house in Mt. Washington called police when they found a device with what looked like pipe bombs with wires and nails attached.

"It looked exactly like somebody would wear in a suicide bomber-type of scene or suicide bomber- type of incident," said Sheldon Williams, of the Pittsburgh police bomb squad.

The device was found outside 559 Southern Avenue late Thursday morning while workers from Pittsburgh Iron and Scrap Metal were picking up scrap metal. While loading materials into their truck, they noticed a device and called authorities.

The ace reporters don't seem to have checked on who lived there.

Motoonist says BBC "appeasing Muslim fanatics"

The BBC has been accused of appeasement of radical Islam by the artist behind one of the infamous cartoons of Mohammed.

Kurt Westergaard claims the corporation's decision not to air a recent interview with him came because they are petrified of upsetting Muslims extremists.

Westergaard was one of the 12 cartoonists commissioned by the Danish Jyllands-Posten newspaper in 2005 to produce caricatures of the Muslim prophet.

Islamic tradition says no image of him should be produced or shown....

Mr Westergaard, 73, gave his first-ever English interview to BBC journalist Malcolm Brabant four weeks ago.

It had been expected to go out on BBC World, the BBC News channel, across radio services and on its website. But the corporation has kept the report under wraps amid claims it is frightened that it will 'inflame' Muslims around the world.

Mr Westergaard told the Daily Mail last night: 'I am disappointed on behalf of the freedom of speech. Every time you are afraid I think you make a step backwards. That is depressing me.'

He compared the BBC's behaviour with the way countries tried to appease Hitler before the Second World War and added: 'If you have an appeasement policy towards the radical Muslims then you are on a very wrong way and you have to start marching backwards.'...

Dunkin' franchise ends over refusal to sell pork

WESTCHESTER, Ill.—A Muslim franchisee of a suburban Chicago Dunkin' Donuts has surrendered his longtime store ownership after losing a legal battle with the chain over religious objections to selling pork.

Walid Elkhatib, 59, removed Dunkin' Donuts signs from his Westchester store, his attorney Robert Habib said in a story posted Wednesday on the Chicago Tribune's Web site.

Last week the chain sued Elkhatib, who has owned a Dunkin' Donuts franchise since 1979, to bar him from using the company's trademark.

That lawsuit followed a federal jury's ruling earlier this month that the chain did not discriminate against Elkhatib for refusing to renew his franchise agreement because he would not sell breakfast sandwiches containing ham, bacon or sausage. Muslims are forbidden from eating pork and many also refuse handling the meat.

For nearly two decades, Dunkin' Donuts allowed Elkhatib to not sell pork, even providing him with signs that read "No meat products available." But in 2002, the company said it would not renew the franchise agreement unless he sold all company products.

Habib did not immediately return messages Wednesday from The Associated Press.

Andrew Mastrangelo, manager of public relations for Canton, Mass.-based Dunkin' Brands Inc., noted that the jury's verdict was unanimous and the court ruled against Elkhatib's discrimination claims.
"As this is pending litigation, we are unable to comment further," he said.
Since he was not employee of the company, Elkhatib could not sue it under federal laws prohibiting workplace religious discrimination. So he sued under a law that bans racial and ancestry discrimination in the making of contracts.

Elkhatib, who is Arab, is "forbidden from dealing in, buying, or selling pork products, because of his race's tradition and religious practices," according to court documents.

A federal judge in Chicago ruled against Elkhatib, saying it was religious and not racial. But an appellate court allowed the case to go to trial in 2007, finding the chain was not consistent in applying rules to franchisees.

Habib found a Chicago location that did not sell pork products because many customers followed Jewish rules restricting pork.

Elkhatib's franchise agreement ended in April 2008, but the company said he could operate the store until the end of the trial.

In a March 27 lawsuit, Dunkin' Donuts said Elkhatib had continued to use company trademarks and not returned company operating manuals.

Habib said his client would no longer be associated with the company, but he held a 10-year property lease and would still have a business.

"He plans to continue to operate a restaurant," Habib said. "Walid will survive."

It is about time that a US company stood up to the muslims. I for one am going to be visiting my local Dunkin Donuts soon.

Hundreds mourn man who killed police officers

Nearly 500 people gathered at an East Oakland church Tuesday to say goodbye to Lovelle Mixon, the 26-year-old parolee who was killed by police after he went on a shooting rampage that left four Oakland officers dead.

The open-casket service, held at Fuller Funerals on International Boulevard, was about an hour long and had such a large turnout that a number of guests were forced to stand.

Singers sang. Poets read, and speakers remembered Mixon as an intense and animated storyteller, for his big smile, love of boxing and football and what they called a long and loving relationship with his wife of seven years.

Authorities say Mixon fatally shot four Oakland police officers March 21 before he was killed as he hid in his sister's apartment.

While no one spoke directly of the incident that left him dead, one family member spoke briefly of Mixon's stray from God, and a Nation of Islam minister urged mourners to remember they were there to support Mixon's grieving family.

Keith Muhammad of Oakland Mosque 26B said losing a member of the community is tragic no matter the circumstances.

"We see our young brother first as a brother," he said. "We can't do anything for him. We need to think about what we can do for the living."

Baitullah Mehsud, commander of the Taliban in Pakistan, told The Associated Press in an interview Tuesday that his group was responsible for Monday's attack on a police academy in his country that killed seven police officers and injured more than 90 others.

He also said, chillingly:

"Soon we will launch an attack in Washington that will amaze everyone in the world."

In an interview with local Dewa Radio, which was obtained by The Associated Press, Mehsud identified the White House as one of the targets.

FBI spokesman Richard Kolko told FOXNews.com that the bureau is not aware of a specific or imminent threat to the United States. He added, without elaborating, that Mehsud has made similar threats to the U.S..

"The U.S. government and other allied governments cannot afford to ignore this threat because [Mehsud] has acted on targets in the past," Phillips said. "Because he has a relatively secure base of operations in South Waziristan, he has been able to extend his influence throughout the border region and even into Pakistani cities."

Steve Emerson, executive director of The Investigative Project on Terrorism, said that of the many terrorists who have issued "blustery threats" in recent years, Meshud is considered a "rising young star" among militants.

"He's a dangerous guy," Emerson told FOXNews.com. "It just reaffirms the fact that Washington is a major target.

"He seems to be a pretty bloody, bold guy who is not afraid to have a marker on himself and knows how to exact publicity ... The real issue is what U.S. intelligence knows."[...]

Madness: Judge says Afghan prisoners in Afghanistan can challenge their detention in U.S. civilian courts

WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal judge ruled on Thursday that terrorist suspects can use U.S. civilian courts to challenge their detention at a military air base in Afghanistan.

U.S. District Judge John Bates turned down the United States' motion to deny the right to three foreign detainees at Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled last year that detainees at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, have the right to challenge their detention in court. But the government had argued that it did not apply to those in Afghanistan.

Bates said the cases were essentially the same and he quoted the Supreme Court ruling repeatedly in his judgment and applied the test created by it to each detainee. It is the first time a federal judge has applied the ruling to detainees in Afghanistan....

So what is the problem? Don't take anymore prisoners. Kill them on the battle field.

CAIR demands reprimand of radio hosts who told the truth

In Islamic law, the definition of slander doesn’t involve falsehood. The Shafi’i manual of Islamic law ‘Umdat al-Salik, which is certified by Al-Azhar in Cairo as a reliable guide to Sunni Muslim orthodoxy, defines “slander” as “to mention anything concerning a person that he would dislike.” Nothing is said about whether or not what is said is true -- only that the person would dislike it. And this is based on a statement of Muhammad to the same effect.

The nation's leading Islamic civil rights group today issued a call for San Francisco-based KSFO 560 AM to reprimand two local talk show hosts -- and has asked the station's listeners to contact advertisers -- following a segment that it says "mocked Islam, misstated Muslim beliefs and cast suspicion on political participation by American Muslims.''

The Council on American-Islamic Relations -- known as CAIR -- sent out the letter Thursday after the Chronicle Spin Cycle Political blog this week reported on a morning comedy segment by KSFO 560-AM hosts Brian Sussman and his radio sidekick "Officer Vic."

The pair, during the Monday program, did a comedic segment about Islam and its tenets, and joked that "Islamic finance is about living within your means and helping the needy - unless they're Jews," the blog reported. Additionally, they observed that "the great honorable qualities of that good old time religion: honor killings, female circumcision, not allowing women to drive...Jews are monkeys, pigs.''

Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for CAIR, told the Chronicle the Washington D.C.-based advocacy organization is asking American Muslims and consumers to contact KSFO officials and advertisers to express their concerns about what he called the "smears" on the Muslim religion.

"We're firm believers in the First Amendment,'' Hooper told the Chronicle. "We're not saying people don't have the right to say what they want...but people who listen to the radio station have no obligation to take their hard-earned dollars and buy the goods and services of advertisers who place their messages on these programs. That's a freedom -- just as free speech is a freedom.''

"We have to challenge these kinds of smears against our faith,'' Hooper said. "It's this kind of rhetoric that can lead to dismination [sic] and violence against ordinary Muslims.''

Hooper also said that the hosts' characterizations of the tenents of Islam were incorrect and offensive. "So-called 'honor killings,' female genital mutilation and not allowing women to drive are not part of Islam,'' he said. "Muslims respect Jews and Christians as 'people of the book' who received earlier revelations from God.''

Giving charity -- zakat -- to Jews: "It is not permissible to give zakat to a non-Muslim." ('Umdat al-Salik h8.24)

Honor killing: "Retaliation is obligatory against anyone who kills a human being purely intentionally and without right." However, "not subject to retaliation" is "a father or mother (or their fathers or mothers) for killing their offspring, or offspring's offspring." ('Umdat al-Salik o1.1-2.) In other words, someone who kills his child incurs no legal penalty under Islamic law.

Female genital mutilation: "Circumcision is obligatory...for both men and women." ('Umdat al-Salik e4.3)

Women driving: "A woman may not leave the city without her husband or a member of her unmarriageable kin...accompanying her, unless the journey is obligatory, like the hajj. It is unlawful for her to travel otherwise, and unlawful for her husband to allow her to." ('Umdat al-Salik m10.3)

Jews as "monkeys and pigs": "Of the people of Moses there is a section who guide and do justice in the light of truth....But the transgressors among them changed the word from that which had been given them so we sent on them a plague from heaven. For that they repeatedly transgressed....When in their insolence they transgressed (all) prohibitions, We said to them: "Be ye apes, despised and rejected." (Qur'an 7:159, 162, 166 -- see also Qur'an 2:62-65 and 5:59-60).

Apparently Hooper missed these verses in the koran, the terrorist training manual.

UK MUSLIM TAXI DRIVER BLUDGEONS RIDER WITH BASEBALL BAT - again!!

A TAXI passenger has told how he was left with a fractured skull after being beaten by a baseball bat-wielding cabbie.
Adrian Dubiel was hit twice with the bat in a Newcastle side-street just minutes after being picked up from a night out.
Doctors later diagnosed the 28-year-old – who spent six days in hospital – with a depressed fracture of the skull.
Today, private hire driver Amran Khan is starting a three-and-a-half year prison sentence after being convicted of attacking Mr Dubiel and hitting another customer in similar circumstances months earlier.
Mr Dubiel told The Sentinel how he flagged down Khan's taxi to go home on June 15, after the rest of his friends went for a curry.
He said: "I jumped in and said 'Madeley for a tenner mate?' He said 'I will show you a ride for a tenner'. Then he sped off to The Brampton. I said 'You're going the wrong way', and he stopped and told me to get out.
"I was a bit bemused and just wanted to go home. I was going to walk back to town to get another taxi when he came up behind me and clubbed me on the back of the head with a baseball bat, and again on my back.
"I didn't realise what had happened until I turned round and saw him going back to the car with the bat. I was in shock – there had been no argument, it was completely unprovoked."
Mr Dubiel, who now lives at Westbury Park, went to the police station and later had nine stitches in his head. His fractured skull was diagnosed three days later.
Father-of-three Khan, of Rushton Road, Cobridge, was convicted last month of assaulting Philip Booth, from Biddulph, on February 23 last year and causing grievous bodily harm to Mr Dubiel with intent on June 15.
The court heard Mr Booth – who had agreed to pay £20 to get him to Biddulph – was struck several times with a baseball bat after Khan demanded more money.
But Ian Metcalfe, mitigating, told Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court that 31-year-old Khan still expresses his innocence.
Recorder Martin Wasik yesterday jailed Khan for three years for attacking Mr Dubiel and six months to run consecutively for assaulting Mr Booth.
He told Khan: "The public are entitled to expect they will be safe when they get in a taxi late at night and offer to pay the fare home.
"In the pre-sentence report you say both matters were a case of mistaken identity and it was not you.
"On the evidence which was presented at trial I have no doubt the convictions were correct."

6. The myth: “The Quran described the big bang”

The fact: the Quran only echoed the ancient myths about the creation of the universe.

The Quran only reflected the seventh century ignorance. Ancient cultures believed that the sky and earth were joined together until god stepped in to separate them. Muslims who make the above claim usually refer to verse “Q.21: 30 Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together then we separated them..” in which the Quran makes the same mistake and claims that it was Allah who did the separation. This scientific misconception described in the Quran was common in ancient Arabia, which explains why the verse says do not the unbelievers see? (awalam yara) which is an Arabic expression that implies “yes they see”. It is a common Arabic usage that when you say to a person: “don’t you see that house?” you imply that the person can actually see the house. Therefore, the Quran was talking about something the Arabs already knew.

Contrary to what the verse suggests, according to the Big Bang theory there was nothing in the beginning, no earth and no sky (7).

Netanyahu to Obama: Stop Iran—Or I Will

In an interview conducted shortly before he was sworn in today as prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu laid down a challenge for Barack Obama. The American president, he said, must stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons—and quickly—or an imperiled Israel may be forced to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities itself.

“The Obama presidency has two great missions: fixing the economy, and preventing Iran from gaining nuclear weapons,” Netanyahu told me. He said the Iranian nuclear challenge represents a “hinge of history” and added that “Western civilization” will have failed if Iran is allowed to develop nuclear weapons.

In unusually blunt language, Netanyahu said of the Iranian leadership, “You don’t want a messianic apocalyptic cult controlling atomic bombs. When the wide-eyed believer gets hold of the reins of power and the weapons of mass death, then the entire world should start worrying, and that is what is happening in Iran.”

History teaches Jews that threats against their collective existence should be taken seriously, and, if possible, preempted, he suggested. Who will dominate the oil in the region—Washington or Tehran?”...

"Cringing diplomats" hear new Israeli FM say concessions to Palestinians will bring war, not peace

He told them the truth -- after all, the intransigence of the jihad doctrine makes those who hold it see a willingness to negotiate and grant concessions only as a sign of weakness. Lieberman told them the truth, and it made them cringe.

JERUSALEM - Israel's new hard-line foreign minister delivered a scathing critique of Mideast peace efforts Wednesday, telling a room crowded with cringing diplomats that concessions to the Palestinians only invite war.

Avigdor Lieberman's first speech since taking office, along with accusations by the moderate Palestinian president that the new Israeli government opposes peace, signaled tough times ahead for the Obama administration's regional diplomacy.

Lieberman warned against broad concessions, saying they "only bring pressure and more wars."

The appointment of Lieberman, head of the ultranationalist Yisrael Beitenu, has raised international concerns because of his hard-line positions on peace and an election campaign that was widely seen as racist. Lieberman has called for stripping the citizenship of people who do not pledge loyalty to the state — a proposal that was viewed as a thinly veiled swipe at Israel's Arab minority.

Racist? Really? What about this?

His speech at the Foreign Ministry did little to ease those concerns.

Moderate Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas warned Wednesday that new Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "doesn't believe in peace" and urged the international community to put heavy pressure on him....

The rest of the world will put pressure on the Jews to make nice to the people that do not accept Israel as a state. The arabs do not want peace in the Western sense of the word. They want all of the Jews dead. Why? Because their book tells them to kill the Jews.

"A lot of young people here are out of work... Their parents don't work, and they get their only social interaction in the Islamic milieu, which complicates integration," says Camara, originally from Guinea.

"They spend their time speaking Arabic," he says, adding that "at heart they don't really want to be Swedish. They tell me so themselves."...

Why don't they? What attitudes and assumptions are they being taught? Does anyone in Sweden know or care?

They are not there to integrate into Swedish society. They are there to take over the EU. They believe that the Earth was created by allah and that everyone must submit to allah. They want to take over the world and have sharia rule it. They are telling us this up front.
