Hamas "shocked" as top E.U. official says group is fully responsible for Gaza war

Hamas bears full responsibility for the war in Gaza, a top EU official said Monday in the Strip, calling the group "a terrorist movement."

"At this time we have to also recall the overwhelming responsibility of Hamas," Louis Michel, European Commissioner for Development and Humanitarian Aid, told reporters.

"I intentionally say this here - Hamas is a terrorist movement and it has to be denounced as such," Michel said as he visited the town of Jabalya in northern Gaza.

"Public opinion is fed up to see that we are paying over and over again - be it the [European] commission, the member states or the major donors - for infrastructure that will be systematically destroyed," he said.

Reuters quoted the EU official as saying that the Islamic group had used civilians as "human shields" by placing operatives in residential areas, and said that the years of terrorist rocket-fire on southern Israel served as a "provocation."

The report also quoted Michel as saying that, "When you kill innocents, it is not resistance. It is terrorism."

A Hamas official, Mushir al-Masri, was quoted by Reuters as saying his group was "shocked" at Michel's comments. He lambasted the official for "giving cover to massacres and terrorism committed by the Zionist enemy against the Palestinian people… Palestinian resistance is as legitimate as the resistance of European countries that fought against foreign occupiers."

Michel announced €58 million ($74 million) in emergency aid Monday for Palestinians.

Around €32 million ($41.7 million) of the aid package will go to alleviate immediate needs in Gaza such as shortages in drinking water, food and medical supplies. Another €20 million ($26 million) will go to projects in the West Bank, the remaining €6 million ($7.8 million) to Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.

Why give any of these terrorists money at all? How about cutting of the jizya from them and let the arab countries pay with their alms giving?

278 families in Dir say polio drops ‘un-Islamic’

DIR TOWN, Jan 24: At least 278 families in Upper Dir district recently refused to let their children be given anti-polio medicine, describing the drops as “un-Islamic” and characterising the campaign to vaccinate children against the disease as a conspiracy, health officials said.

It was alarming that Dir town, the district headquarters of Upper Dir, was among the places where parents stopped health workers from administering polio drops to children for “religious reasons”. Ten union councils were already excluded from the drive because of heavy snowfall there.

The health officials said that parents in Tarpatar, Dir town, Chukiatan, Ganori, Wari, Jabbar, Almas, Bibyawar and Nihagdara did not allow teams to vaccinate children against the crippling disease.

They said that 23 parents in Dir town, six in Chukiatan, 12 in Darora and two in Nihagdara refused to avail the facility. The officials said that because of the parents’ refusal, the drive had to be extended in the region for two days, covering 44 families.

Some cases of polio have been detected in recent months in the aforementioned areas.During the drive, 94,240 children were given drops, a majority of them (72,898) of ages between 12 and 59 months.

Why are we even worrying about this? Let them get polio, Thei sill not be able to be on the battle field waging jihad against the West. Worst yet they will use these kids as human bombs. You just can't underestimate the derangement of a muslim mind.

Hamas offers Israel one-year truce

Translation: We really need to re-arm.

This is right out of the koran, when the muslims are in a week position sue for a "truce" to be broken at any time the muslims feel like it.

Truces are permissible, not obligatory....Interests that justify making a truce are such things as Muslim weakness because of lack of numbers or materiel, or the hope of an enemy becoming Muslim...If the Muslims are weak, a truce may be made for ten years if necessary, for the Prophet (may Allah bless him and give him peace) made a truce with the Quraysh for that long, as is related by Abu Dawud....The rulings of such a truce are inferable from those of the non-Muslim poll tax; namely, that when a valid truce has been effected, no harm may be done to non-Muslims until it expires. o9.16

Hamas is prepared to reach a one-year truce with Israel if the border crossings into the Gaza Strip are opened, Hamas legislator Mushir al-Masri said on Sunday.

He said that a Hamas delegation currently holding talks in Cairo with Egyptian government officials made it clear that the movement would not agree to a long-term or permanent truce.

In Cairo, Ayman Taha, a member of the Hamas team, said after meeting with Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman that Hamas rejected an Israeli offer for an 18-month truce. He said the offer had been relayed to Hamas through Suleiman and other Egyptian officials.

"Hamas has proposed a one-year truce that would be evaluated [by Hamas] when it expires," Masri said. "We are talking about a temporary truce that would be contingent on the reopening of all the border crossings, including the Rafah terminal, and lifting the blockade."

A permanent truce would "contradict Hamas's right to pursue the resistance for as long as the occupation exists," he said.

This is because the Hamas charter calls for the desruction of Israel not the coexistance with Israel.

Police in Atlanta have been investigating the death of a 25-year-old Pakistani woman, who was allegedly murdered by her father in the name of family honor.

She wanted out of an arranged marriage, but her father thought a divorce would bring shame to the family.

Honor killings are old rites of murder within families, committed because of some perceived dishonor or shame. The United Nations estimates around 5,000 deaths occur each year — mostly women, mostly in South Asia and the Middle East. [...]

It was around 1 a.m. on July 6 when police got several 911 calls connected to that house. The first was from a man who told police, "My daughter's dead." Then, at 1:55 a.m., Clayton County received a 911 call from a woman named Gina Rashid who was worried about her stepdaughter Sandeela.

Sandeela Kanwal was the 25-year-old daughter of Chaudry Rashid. Christian says when police arrived at the house, they found the 57-year-old pizza shop owner sitting cross-legged in his driveway, smoking a cigarette.

"They talked to him and asked him what was going on," says Christian, "and he said, 'My daughter's dead.' They asked him again what he'd said and he said, 'My daughter's dead.'"

Police found Kanwal dead on the floor of her bedroom, still in her Wal-Mart uniform. She'd been working the late shift that night. As they surveyed the scene, police tried to piece together what had happened. Rashid was taken into custody and questioned.

"He admitted to actually taking the life of his daughter," says Sgt. Stefan Schindler, a 13-year veteran of the Clayton County Police Department.

"And the reason he took his daughter's life," says Schindler, "by his own words was that she wasn't being true to her religion or to her husband."

If it is an honor killing — and what really happened that night is not yet clear — it would be one of a handful of such crimes in this country.

In Dallas, an Egyptian man is wanted by police, accused of murdering his two daughters, reportedly, because they had non-Muslim boyfriends.

In Scottsville, N.Y., a Turkish immigrant has been in and out of psychiatric care since he was charged three years ago with killing his wife and beating his daughters because of alleged sexual assault.

This is why we need to stop importing muslims to the US. We have enough crazies now.

Keep Gitmo open, close mosques instead

A number of families across Minneapolis are wondering the same thing.

Two more ex-Gitmo inmates return to jihad

This is one of the people that John Murtha was talking about when he said that the people in Club GITMO are not that dangerous. This wonderful person was released to the Saudi's and now he is back in Yemin.

This shouldn't surprise anyone, since nothing has been done over the years at Guantanamo to disabuse inmates of their beliefs about the responsibility of Muslims to wage war against and subjugate unbelievers. The prevailing PC "Islam Is A Religion of Peace" line prevents that -- and makes for this recidivism. Indeed, the exaggerated respect that Guantanamo personnel have been directed to show towards the Qur'an -- handling it with gloves, etc. -- only reinforces the jihadist sentiments of the inmates, rather than win hearts and minds.

WASHINGTON (AFP) — Two men released from the US "war on terror" prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba have appeared in a video posted on a jihadist website, the SITE monitoring service reported.

One of the two former inmates, a Saudi man identified as Abu Sufyan al-Azdi al-Shahri, or prisoner number 372, has been elevated to the senior ranks of Al-Qaeda in Yemen, a US counter-terrorism official told AFP.

Three other men appear in the video, including Abu al-Hareth Muhammad al-Oufi, identified as an Al-Qaeda field commander. SITE later said he was prisoner No. 333.

A Pentagon spokesman, Commander Jeffrey Gordon, on Saturday declined to confirm the SITE information.

"We remain concerned about ex-Guantanamo detainees who have re-affiliated with terrorist organizations after their departure," said Gordon.

"We will continue to work with the international community to mitigate the threat they pose," he said.

On the video, al-Shihri is seen sitting with three other men before a flag of the Islamic State of Iraq, the front for Al-Qaeda in Iraq.

"By Allah, imprisonment only increased our persistence in our principles for which we went out, did jihad for, and were imprisoned for," al-Shihri was quoted as saying....

We need to just kill everyone of these guys that we find on the battle field. Their woman and children should be killed too. They are just breading more and more of them.

The Shujaiya quarter where she lives is a Hamas stronghold which came under heavy fire from Israelis troops. Dozens of people -- many of them civilians -- were killed and dozens of houses destroyed.

What a wonderful group of people. They not only teach their children to hate all Jews and want to die killing Jews, but these children grow up to say that they are getting married to produce more martyrs. Why did Israel not just kill them all? This is what is waiting for the Jews.

Israel Names Team to Defend Soldiers Against War-Crime Charges

Israel appointed a team of international-law experts led by the nation’s justice minister to defend its soldiers against any war-crime charges that may follow its 22-day battle against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

“Officers and soldiers sent on the mission in Gaza must know that they are safe from various tribunals and that Israel will help and defend them just as they protected us with their bodies during the military operation,” Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said in remarks before the weekly Cabinet meeting today.

Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, the Gaza-based Palestinian Centre for Human Rights and B’tselem, the Israeli Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories, have said Israel should be investigated for possible war crimes after the military actions in Gaza, which killed more than 1,300 Palestinians.

The number is more like 700 animalstinians. This is war. The muslims want every Jew out of that part of the world.

During the offensive, Israel deployed lawyers to advise commanders on the front lines, dropped leaflets and made phone calls in steps intended to save civilian lives and avoid war- crime charges. Attorney General Menachem Mazuz said Jan. 11 that officials were preparing for a wave of international litigation following the offensive.

The government “will give its soldiers and officers full backing against any accusations from abroad and all self- flagellations from within,” Defense Minister Ehud Barak said at the Cabinet meeting, according to a statement from his office.

US-Saudi ties under threat: Saudi prince

The Saudis are the major funders of the global jihad against us non-muslims and we are supposed to worry about what they think of us? I am not going to be losing any sleep over their claims.

RIYADH (AFP) – The close relationship between the United States and Saudi Arabia is under threat after Washington supported Israel's onslaught on the Gaza Strip, a senior Saudi prince warned on Saturday.

Prince Turki al-Faisal, a former top diplomat and intelligence chief, told CNN television that the US needs to change its tune and exert more pressure on Israel or face a deterioration in its relations with the Middle East.

He called Israel's three-week assault on Gaza, which Palestinians say killed more than 1,300 people in the densely populated enclave, "barbaric" and a "catastrophe."

The barbarians are the arab muslims in Gaza.

Prince Turki said the new US administration of President Barack Obama must also press Israel to accept an Arab peace plan or lose the Arab world's confidence.

"I think this is one of the issues that makes the relationship between the Arab world in general and Saudi Arabia in particular threatened when it comes to dealing with the United States," he said.

"The relationship that has kept America and the Arab world going for the last 17 years is in danger."

He said former president George W. Bush "callously and unforgivably gave Israel a green light to do everything that they wanted to do in Gaza without restraint."

He said he had hopes for Obama, but needed to see real steps on the ground, including Washington and Israel agreeing to negotiate with Hamas, the Islamist group which controls Gaza but which the US labels a terrorist organisation.

"We need to see facts on the ground change. We need to see rhetoric change. We need to see presence on the ground.

"President Obama can do something and gain the confidence and support of the Arab and Muslim nations by showing that he has done things on the ground and not simply expressed a wish for that."

I think we need to be drilling for our own oil here in the US. We have more than we need for fuel for many decades, but Obama will not drill. Why? Does anyone realize how many things are manufactured from oil? No they do not. Once we cut out the financial support of these jihad exporters in Saudi Arabia we will have a better chance of winning this global war on islamic supremism.

Hamas says it's back in control of the Gaza Strip

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) — Bearded Hamas activists on Friday delivered an envelope with five crisp $100 bills to a veiled woman whose house was damaged during Israel's invasion of Gaza, the first of promised relief payments by the militant group.

In another part of the territory, a bulldozer cleared rubble and filled in a bomb crater where a week before a top Hamas leader had been killed in an Israeli air strike.

Since a truce took hold this week, ending Israel's three-week onslaught, Gaza's Hamas rulers have declared victory and gone out of their way to show they are in control.

They have pledged $52 million of the group's funds to help repair lives, the money divvied up by category. The veiled woman received emergency relief money for her two-story home in the northern town of Beit Lahiya.

Hamas, which is believed to be funded by donations from the Muslim world and Iran, said the emergency relief would include $1,300 for a death in the family, $650 for an injury, $5,200 for a destroyed house and $2,600 for a damaged house.

More than 4,000 houses were destroyed and about 20,000 damaged, according to independent estimates.

"We are in control and we are the winner," Hamas legislator Mushir al-Masri declared this week, after attending the funeral of four Hamas gunmen.

Nothing was accomplished by Israel. They pulled out so that our HNIC would not be mad. They should have killed every single arab in Gaza.

Pakistani newlyweds live in fear of honour killing

KARACHI (Reuters) - Pervez Chachar and his young wife live in the police headquarters in the Pakistani city of Karachi. Their crime? They fell in love and married without their families' permission.

The newlyweds dare not venture out of the police station as they fear their families will hunt them down and kill them.

"I know they will kill her and I have to protect her," Chachar said of his wife's family who are enraged that the young woman chose to marry a man from a rival tribe.

In traditional rural society in Pakistan, getting married without permission is deemed such a serious slight to the "honour" of a family or a tribe that death is seen as fitting retribution.
Rights groups estimate 500 people, most of them women, are killed in the name of "honour" in Pakistan every year, with the majority of victims from poor, rural families often killed by their own relatives.

Shortly after Chachar married Humera Kambo a year ago, the couple fled to Karachi from their home in Sindh province. Humera, too afraid to talk to a reporter, has been abducted by her family and Chachar has been beaten by them.

Still defiant, they fear death if they stray too far from the cramped room next to the police canteen which they share with another young couple in the same position. They have been there for four months and they don't know when they can safely leave.

Under Pakistani customs still followed in much of the countryside, a man or woman can be declared an outcast for having sexual relations outside marriage, or choosing their own spouse.

Ahh, the muslim tribal system. Isn't it so loving. Two people find that they are in love and the muslim code of tribes says nope. You must marry who we say, or you die. Lovely people these muslims are.

Taliban gun down teacher for not hiking "salwar" above ankles

Even "though the Pakistani Taliban have not issued any edict for the salwar to be worn in this manner." Apparently the Taliban has no more intentions of offering courtesy warnings and deadlines before murdering less than ideal Muslims.

ISLAMABAD: A teacher who once fought as a mujahideen against Soviet occupation forces in Afghanistan has been gunned down by the Taliban in Pakistan's troubled Swat valley for not hiking up his 'salwar' or trousers above his ankles.Though the Pakistani Taliban have not issued any edict for the salwar to be worn in this manner, there have been reports of the militants threatening men for not hiking up their trousers.

The militants say hiking up the trousers is essential for offering prayers.

Former mujahideen Amjad Islam, who was working as a teacher in a private school in Swat, was gunned down yesterday for not hiking his salwar above his ankles. The militants then went to Islam's house and gunned down his father, Ghani Akbar, a lawyer by profession.

Islam's body was later hung by the militants from a pole in the College Square in Matta town and local residents were warned not to touch it till Friday morning. The body was taken down and moved to Islam's house after a local jirga intervened.

Local residents said the militants had asked Islam to hitch his salwar above his ankles last morning. The teacher told them he was a former mujahideen and knew everything about Islam. He also said nobody could be forced to pull up his salwar above the ankles, The News daily reported.

Islam said he had also seen the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, which had not forced men to wear their salwar in this manner. His arguments angered the militants and led to a scuffle.

The teacher, who had a pistol, fired at the militants and killed a Taliban fighter and wounded two more. He then tried to flee but the militants shot and stabbed him, killing him instantly. Locals also said Islam's father was a religious and humble man who was well respected in the area...

This is the only reason that we need to leave the middle east. When we are not there to be the enemy, muslims will resort to killing each other. It is in their blood to be killers.

English Democrats’ chairman Robin Tilbrook said: “As far as I’m concerned, what we want to be about is having an integrated society.“If people don’t want to integrate, they shouldn't be here.“It’s not at all right to have what’s really a sort of ghetto situation developing – it’s going to lead to trouble.“We can’t have a single society with lots of different rules.”

Stephen Green, national director of Christian Voice, said: “I’m not surprised because there are already Muslim enclaves all over the country. They keep themselves to themselves anyway.”

The Equalities and Human Rights Commission poll found 67% of Muslims would not be happy for their child to marry someone of a different religion. But marrying someone from a different race bothers them less, with 61% content with the idea.

The shock results come a day after commission chairman Trevor Phillips said Britain was “by far” the least racist country in Europe.And the commission said the poll confirmed Brits are “increasingly at ease with racial diversity”.

It found 58% of ethnic minorities are optimistic about the future and 56% of the public think Britain will have a non-white Prime Minister within the next 20 years. But minority groups are still wary about the police, with 53% believing the failings made in the Stephen Lawrence murder could happen again.

Mr Phillips, 55, said: “At this historic moment, when America has chosen its first black leader, it is heartening to recognise that here in Britain we have a sophisticated sense of our own identity and an appreciation and interest in difference. But we can’t be complacent.

“The survey points to emerging religious divisions. And as we mark a darker moment in our history, the 10th anniversary into the murder of Stephen Lawrence, it is clear the police still have work to do to convince our ethnic minority communities they deserve their trust.”

This is happening now in the US and the MSM just ignores it. We need stories on the news about the muslim "compounds" all over the US. They are heavily armed and don't like outsiders, you and me, looking around their property.

London - The Jewish community in Golders Green has been the target of further anti-Semitic attacks, in the form of more offensive graffiti.

Graffiti reading "Kill the filthy Jews" was daubed on walls and pavements near Golders Green tube station and vandals wrote "Jihad 4 Israel" on top of Holocaust Memorial Day adverts.

Golders Green residents have unanimously condemned the ongoing hate crimes, which have risen up in the wake of the Gaza conflict....

Joseph Haziza, 27, manager of Menachem Kosher butchers which is next to Sinclair Grove on Golders Green road, said: "In this area of Golders Green the graffiti hasn't been as bad. Further up the Golders Green Road they have been affected, with Muslims coming into Jewish shops and saying: 'I'm going to kill you'.

"I don't wear my cuple [skull cap] when I'm out and about. I don't want to be started on."...

Pakistan: Lahore High Court rules that honor killing is not a crime

More indication of the widespread acceptance of honor killing in Muslim countries -- while the world continues to look the other way, and no one calls upon Islamic communities in the West to do anything about this, despite the fact that we have already seen honor killings in the U.S.

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has declared murder to save a woman’s honour not a crime, a private TV channel reported on Thursday. According to the channel, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa ruled this while hearing a murder case. The court acquitted Ghulam Nabi and his son Iftikhar, saying murder to save a woman’s honour was not a crime. The accused had killed one Yasin while saving a female relative’s honour. The trial court sentenced them to 10 years’ imprisonment but the LHC acquitted them.

I do not want to hear anymore about how honour killings are not condoned in islam.

Former Gitmo detainee now among top dogs in Al-Qaeda in Yemen

The HNIC has decided to close GITMO. Well, here is one terrorist that was released to the Saudi's and he even went through their terrorist reform program. And lo and behold he is back playing jihad.

BEIRUT, Lebanon — The emergence of a former Guantánamo Bay detainee as the deputy leader of Al Qaeda’s Yemeni branch has underscored the potential complications in carrying out the executive order President Obama signed Thursday that the detention center be shut down within a year.

The militant, Said Ali al-Shihri, is suspected of involvement in a deadly bombing of the United States Embassy in Yemen’s capital, Sana, in September. He was released to Saudi Arabia in 2007 and passed through a Saudi rehabilitation program for former jihadists before resurfacing with Al Qaeda in Yemen.

That Saudi program works great!

His status was announced in an Internet statement by the militant group and was confirmed by an American counterterrorism official.

“They’re one and the same guy,” said the official, who insisted on anonymity because he was discussing an intelligence analysis. “He returned to Saudi Arabia in 2007, but his movements to Yemen remain unclear.” [...]

“The lesson here is, whoever receives former Guantánamo detainees needs to keep a close eye on them,” the American official said....

U.S. intelligence agencies should seek ways of working with Islamic leaders and countries such as Iran on issues of mutual interest, President Barack Obama’s choice for spy chief said on Thursday.

Retired Adm. Dennis Blair also urged a break with the Bush administration intelligence policies in a Senate confirmation hearing his nomination as director of national intelligence. This includes applying standards across the government for humane treatment of terrorism suspects.

“Identifying opportunities as well as threats is an extremely important balance for intelligence agencies to strike,” Blair said.

British mother faces jail for adultery in Dubai after losing appeal

Marnie Pearce, 40, had her jail sentence reduced from six to three months by Dubai's Appeal Court, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office said.

She was also ordered to pay a fine of 3,000 dirhams and will be deported.

Ms Pearce, originally from Bracknell, Berkshire, was found guilty of adultery by a Dubai court in November after being accused of cheating on her Egyptian ex-husband.

She insisted she was innocent and said she feared losing custody of her two young sons if she went to prison.

The teaching assistant remained on bail while she attempted to overturn her conviction.

It was not immediately clear whether she would have to start her sentence straightaway.

Ms Pearce met her ex-husband in Oman and married him in the Seychelles in September 1999.
They had two children, Laith, seven, and Ziad, four, and moved to Dubai, but their marriage eventually broke down.

In March last year she was arrested and accused of committing adultery with a British man who she insists was only a friend.

In Dubai, non-Muslim adulterers cannot be punished by flogging, but can face up to 18 months in prison.

Speaking after her original conviction, Ms Pearce said: "I have been going through hell for nine months and I just want to get my children out. I am so scared that if I go to jail I will never see them again."

What the hell is wrong with Western women? Why do they keep marrying muslim men only to find out later that is was not the best idea. FP: Geert Wilders is being put on trial by the Dutch Court of Appeals in Amsterdam for making anti-Islamic statements. Tell us what this charge is about and the ramifications if Wilders loses.

Spencer: The charge is essentially that he has insulted Islam and Muslims, and engaged in hate speech. Hate speech, of course, is in the eye of the beholder, and hate speech laws are tools in the hands of the powerful that they can use to silence the powerless and crush dissent.

And make no mistake: even though the Muslims in the Netherlands and elsewhere in the West present themselves as embattled victims of racism and "Islamophobia," that is exactly what is going on here: this is just one part of the 57-government Organization of the Islamic Conference's efforts to silence speech that they deem critical of Islam -- including "defamation of Islam" that goes under the "pretext" of "freedom of expression, counter terrorism or national security."

If they succeed in doing this, we will be rendered mute, and thus defenseless, in the face of the advancing jihad and attempt to impose Sharia on the West -- in fact, one of the key elements of the laws for dhimmis is that they are never critical of Islam, Muhammad, or the Qur'an, so this initiative not only aids the advance of Sharia in the West, but is itself an element of that advance.

Remember any appeasement is looked at as weakness. When they win these small battles it is seen as a great victory and they look to the next thing they can push the West into accepting.
