The FGC is named after Fethullah Gulen, a Turkish imam who now lives in the United States. He fled Turkey in 1998 to avoid prosecution on charges that he was attempting to undermine Turkey’s secular government with the objective of establish an Islamic government. Since Gulen’s arrival here the Department of Homeland Security tried to deport him, but he successfully fought the effort in federal court because it was ruled he was an individual with “extraordinary ability in the field of education” – although he has no formal education training.

The FGC emerged in Turkey in the 1970’s. According to the Jane’s Islamic Affairs Analyst piece, Gulen stated that “in order to reach the ideal Muslim society 'every method and path is acceptable, [including] lying to people.’” This public acknowledgement of taqiyya (employing deception to advance Islam) is highly pertinent to Gulen’s activities here in the United States.

A recent article in the Middle East Quarterly by Rachel Sharon-Kreskin titled “Fethullah Gulen’s Grand Ambition” sheds light on Gulen’s background:

Gülen was a student and follower of Sheikh Sa'id-i Kurdi (1878-1960), also known as Sa'id-i Nursi, the founder of the Islamist Nur (light) movement. After Turkey's war of independence, Kurdi demanded, in an address to the new parliament, that the new republic be based on Islamic principles. He turned against Atatürk and his reforms and against the new modern, secular, Western republic.

What makes Gulen particularly dangerous is his strategic and tactical means to achieving this goal. He oversees a worldwide network of businesses, schools, foundations and media outlets, with an estimated budget of 25 billion dollars. Here’s what Gulen had to say in a sermon in 1999 aired on Turkish television:

You must move in the arteries of the system without anyone noticing your existence until you reach all the power centers … until the conditions are ripe, they [the followers] must continue like this. If they do something prematurely, the world will crush our heads, and Muslims will suffer everywhere, like in the tragedies in Algeria, like in 1982 [in] Syria … like in the yearly disasters and tragedies in Egypt. The time is not yet right. You must wait for the time when you are complete and conditions are ripe, until we can shoulder the entire world and carry it … You must wait until such time as you have gotten all the state power, until you have brought to your side all the power of the constitutional institutions in Turkey … Until that time, any step taken would be too early—like breaking an egg without waiting the full forty days for it to hatch. It would be like killing the chick inside. The work to be done is [in] confronting the world. Now, I have expressed my feelings and thoughts to you all—in confidence … trusting your loyalty and secrecy. I know that when you leave here—[just] as you discard your empty juice boxes, you must discard the thoughts and the feelings that I expressed here.

Simply put, he is brilliantly and patiently employing taqiyya on a global scale, because this strategic approach is not confined to Turkey.

Here in the U.S. the FGC runs over 90 charter public schools in at least 20 states.

The fact that so little has been written about the FGC schools here in the U.S., as well as the accolades that have been accorded the FGC as a model of “moderation” by some in our government, would appear to confirm that the FGC and its schools are doing an excellent job of heeding Gulen’s exhortation and masking their true intent.

The schools appear to be a source of recruitment for outside school activities sponsored by the FGC, such as summer camps, which would be in keeping with the pattern of recruitment of members and followers that FGC employs worldwide, according to both the Jane’s and Middle East Quarterly articles.

This guy should not be in our country. He is building a huge network of jihadis right here in the US. His statement about working from the inside and not revealing yourself until you are ready is part of the stealth jihad that is going on in this country.

Italy: Jihadists exalt Abruzzo earthquakes

Dubai, 8 April (AKI) - Jihadist users of Al-Qaeda linked websites have been rejoicing at the devastating earthquake that hit Italy's central Abruzzo region on Monday, describing it as a "divine punishment" for "the enemies of Islam". The earthquake killed over 260 people, injured hundreds more and destroyed thousands of buildings, leaving 20,000 homeless.

"At last they have had their dark days too. O Allah, kill them and leave them destitute vagabonds," said one of a series of comments that have appeared on various jihadist websites this week.

The Abruzzo earthquake has made headline news around the world, and Al-Qaeda sympathisers have followed via Arabic TV networks.

The jihadists appear to be engaged in contest to see who can post updates on the death toll from the earthquake fastest.

A series of strong aftershocks since the main quake have caused further damage, hampering rescue efforts and further terrorising the population in the town of L'Aquila and surrounding villages. One man died of a heart-attack following a quake on Tuesday.

Between 20-30 people were still missing on Wednesday.

"O Allah, keep the earthquakes and tragedies coming - cursed be Europe, Israel and the United States," wrote 'Ashiq al-Irhab', which in Arabic means 'desirous of terrorism'.

Another jihadist site, 'al-Shura', has been publishing tolls of the Abruzzo earthquake victims beneath each article, accompanied by a macabre prayer.

The prayer reads: "O Allah, may the death toll continue to rise. Destroy our enemies and help Muslims!"

A user of the 'al-Shura' website, Nureddin al-Zanki, writes: "We have a stronger weapon than guns - our prayers, which will further drive up the numbers of victims."

Similar messages from jihadists have been posted to the 'Ansar' and 'Mujahidin' websites, whose users have rejoiced in the past at other disasters to hit western nations.

China executes two jihadists who killed 17, AFP uses scare quotes

BEIJING (AFP) – China executed two Muslim men in its far northwest on Thursday for a "terrorist" attack that was aimed at sabotaging last year's Olympics and left 17 policemen dead, state media reported.

The two members of China's Muslim Uighur minority group were put to death in the famed old Silk Road city of Kashgar, where the attack took place, Xinhua news agency reported.

The August 4 incident was the most serious in a wave of unrest in China's remote Xinjiang region ahead of, and during the Beijing Olympics, leaving dozens of people dead.

China blamed the violence on separatist militants from Xinjiang who were wanting to use the global spotlight of the Olympics to raise awareness for their independence cause.

Xinjiang, a vast area that borders Afghanistan and Pakistan, has about 8.3 million Turkic-speaking Uighurs, many of whom say they have for decades suffered Chinese political and religious persecution.

The men executed -- Abdurahman Azat, 34, and Kurbanjan Hemit, 29 -- were sentenced to death in December after being convicted of carrying out the attack with the intention of trying to "sabotage" the Olympics, Xinhua reported....

Chinese officials previously said the two were carrying documents advocating "holy war" that linked them to the East Turkestan Islamic Movement, listed by China and the United Nations as a terrorist organisation....

Pakistan: After getting Sharia in Swat, Islamic parties demand Islamic law in entire country

Concessions to jihadists only result in demands for more concessions. Obama will probably be learning this lesson, or be given an opportunity to learn this lesson, soon enough.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan Pakistan's decision to turn the Swat Valley's courts over to Baitullah Mehsud's Taliban insurgency has emboldened mainstream religious parties to push for Islamic law throughout the North West Frontier Province (NWFP) and eventually the entire country.

Mehsud also has launched terrorist attacks beyond the tribal areas, including an assault on a police academy in Lahore last week that killed 18 people, and threatened to strike the United States. The United States then reportedly targeted Mehsud in a remote region of Pakistan's tribal areas with missiles fired from a drone.

The push for Shariah illustrates a dilemma for the Obama administration, which is seeking to shore up U.S. relations with Pakistan and bolster Pakistan's fragile secular government: Militant fighters and mainstream Islamist political leaders share not only personal ties but a common goal of imposing Islamic law throughout the country.

So far, Shariah has been extended to the Malakand region, which includes the Swat Valley and comprises eight of the 24 districts of the NWFP. The imposition of Islamic courts there was one of the foremost demands of Mehsud and his outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which openly battled and badly defeated Pakistani forces in Swat in the year before the truce.

A video shown on Pakistani television of a Taliban fighter flogging a 17-year-old woman in Swat has inflamed the issue. The woman was said to have rebuffed a Taliban commander's proposal of marriage and was punished for leaving her house with an unrelated male, an electrician.

Pakistan's chief justice, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, on Monday rebuked the government of President Asif Ali Zardari for failing to investigate the incident and demanded that the woman be brought before his court to recount her ordeal.

Still, Hamid-ul-Haq Haqqani, the leader of a faction of a leading religious party, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, known as JUI-S, told The Washington Times that Shariah has had a beneficial effect on security in the region.

"Therefore, we would like it to be implemented in the entire country to stem the rot. It should be done whether Americans like it or not, and in this regard, [the] federal government should show some courage. It is one of the ways that Pakistan could be salvaged. Otherwise, everyone knows about the U.S. designs to vivisect Pakistan," Mr. Haqqani said....

French FM says no to Obama's call for Turkish EU admission

France's powerful Foreign Minister, Bernard Kouchner, said today that he had turned against the idea of allowing Turkey to join the European Union because of Ankara’s behaviour at last week’s Nato summit.

Mr Kouchner, who came to prominence as co-founder of Medecins sans Frontieres, made the comment as Barack Obama - speaking to a gathering of students in Istanbul on the final event of his eight-day European tour - called once again for Turkey to be granted EU membership.

President Sarkozy has long been opposed to Turkey’s EU bid and that has been official French policy, but his left-wing Foreign Minister had been more open to the idea - at least until Saturday's summit in Strasbourg.

“Turkey’s evolution in, let’s say, a more religious direction, towards a less robust secularism, worries me,” the minister told RTL radio....

As it should worry everyone.

Somali pirates double cross good faith negotiator, hold on to hostage

The American crew of a hijacked cargo ship off the shore of Somalia regained effective control of the vessel late Wednesday, but the pirates held the captain hostage on a lifeboat and a U.S. Navy destroyer arrived on the scene as dawn approached there.

The high-seas drama, unfolding a few hundred miles from the East African coastline in the Indian Ocean, ratchets up the stakes for U.S. and international naval commanders seeking to counter a surge in attacks in piracy-wracked waters there.

The attack was the first on American sailors amid the current spate of piracy attacks in the region...

...and initially at least, the capture of a crew of 20 Americans posed a potential international hostage crisis. Dozens of ships have been taken and held for large ransoms just since last fall. Though the ships generally are released and crews unharmed, talks can drag on for months.

The Maersk Alabama was carrying food aid to Kenya when it was captured. Except for the captain being held, Richard Phillips, all the ship's crew members were reported safe Wednesday with no injuries, according to the ship's owner, a U.S. subsidiary of Danish shipping giant A.P. Møller-Maersk AS.

Early Thursday morning, the USS Bainbridge arrived to gauge the situation, establish contact with the ship's crew and potentially deter the hijackers from further violence by its presence. But it was not expected to intervene directly. "They're not going to go in with guns blazing," said a U.S. Defense Department official.

Of course not! Obama is a muslim and does not want to offend his masters.

The ship's second mate, Ken Quinn, told CNN by telephone that Capt. Phillips was being held in a lifeboat, even after the crew handed over a pirate they had been holding as an exchange. "We returned him but they didn't return the captain," he said.

Mr. Quinn said Capt. Phillips appeared unharmed and that the crew had also been trying to negotiate by offering the pirates food, but "it's not working too good." A relative said the captain was in touch with his ship by radio....

The new threat to freedom of expression

"On Friday, the UN Human Rights Council approved a resolution that calls on states to limit criticism of religions - specifically Islam. This is the tenth time such a resolution has passed at the UN's primary human rights body. Pakistan, on behalf of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, began introducing similar resolutions in 1999 arguing that Islam - the only religion specifically cited in the text - must be shielded from unfair associations with terrorism and human rights abuses...

In reality they are calling for laws and actions that prohibit dialogue by declaring certain topics off limits for discussion, leading to intolerance of any view that some Muslims may find offensive. For instance, criticizing the practice of polygamy or the greater weight given to the testimony of men over women in sharia law would be forbidden. Such laws that prohibit blasphemy, defamation, or the defiling of Islam already exist in many of the countries that support the defamation of religions resolutions....

Of course, the very idea that you can defame a religion at all flies in the face of both fundamental rights of expression and belief. A religion, like all ideas and beliefs, must be open to debate, discussion, and even criticism. For this reason, religions themselves do not have rights. Rights belong exclusively to people....

Salmon Rushdie, Flemming Rose, and Theo Van Gogh are just some of the better known individuals who have been attacked - and, in the case of Mr. Van Gogh, killed - for expressing views deemed defamatory. Thousands of lesser-known human rights activists, bloggers, academics, and journalists have been threatened, imprisoned, beaten, or killed for expressing their beliefs. Countless Muslims have been persecuted for voicing a brand of faith deemed unorthodox and therefore blasphemous or defamatory. It is impossible to know how many have not dared to raise their voices out of fear of retribution.

One now rarely hears the term "defamation of religions" without the assertion that it leads to "incitement to hatred and violence," which is viewed as a legitimate restriction on freedom of expression under the ICCPR. Never mind that it isn't possible to defame an idea or belief. Never mind that human rights law was set up to protect the rights of human beings and not beliefs.

I for one am sick of muslims crying about the so called hate and violence that occurs when one questions islam. The only hate and violence occurs by the muslims themselves. They are very thinskinned.

Terror suspects 'claiming benefits'

Terror suspects under control orders in the UK have claimed hundreds of pounds in unemployment benefits, figures show.

A total of 22 out of 23 suspected terrorists under control orders who claimed up to £60.50 a week in Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) were successful, the Home Office figures showed.

Leading Tory MP Patrick Mercer said it was the equivalent of "pouring yet more taxpayers' money into a bottomless pit" but the Home Office said the terror suspects, who have not been charged with any crime, have the same rights to claim benefits as anyone else.

The information was released following a Freedom of Information request by the News of the World.

As of March 10, 17 individuals were subject to control orders under the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005 and 40 others had at some time been subject to such an order, the newspaper's investigation found.

Of these, 23 applied for JSA benefits and 22 of them were successful.

One of the criteria for receiving such benefits is that the applicant shows he or she is "capable of working, available for work and actively seeking work", the Department for Work and Pensions said.

Mr Mercer, chairman of the Commons counter-terrorism sub-committee, told the newspaper:

"Surely this is nonsense if they are under control orders because they will not be seeking jobs. And all we're doing is pouring yet more taxpayers' money into a bottomless pit."

A Home Office spokesman said: "Controlled individuals, whilst being reasonably suspected of involvement in terrorism-related activity, have the same rights to benefits as any one else if they meet the relevant eligibility test for the relevant benefit.

"Individuals subject to control orders are not routinely prevented from taking employment or from receiving state benefits, including where appropriate Job Seekers Allowance, Housing Benefit and asylum support."

This is what is going to happen when the HNIC sets terrorists from Gitmo loose in the US. It is already being planned.

RIYADH: Neurologist Fawzia Ba-Mogdam, who specializes in epilepsy and sleep disorders, disagrees with the layman’s understanding that epilepsy is caused by jinni (spirits) and should be treated with recitations from the Holy Qur’an rather than medication. Contrary to the advice given by some religious scholars, epilepsy is a physical condition that should be treated with the help of medical science.

In a seminar organized by King Fahd Medical City under the title “Religious and Medical Viewpoints of Epilepsy,” Ba-Mogdam explained that epilepsy is a medical condition due to excessive neurological activity in the brain, which can cause seizures.

“Believing in the power of Qur’an is not negotiable,” she said. “It surely heals, and it is a part of our daily lives. Spiritual healing is very important, but medical treatment should accompany it. Epilepsy is a medical condition that needs to be controlled.”

The specialist said there is general and partial epilepsy: the former affects the entire body while the latter only attacks parts of the body or functions, like speech.

Spencer: Obama: Islam Has Shaped the U.S.A.

“We will convey,” said Barack Obama to the Turkish Parliament Monday, “our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world — including in my own country.”

What does islam have to do with the US besides wanting to take over the country in the name of allah?

Undeniably the Islamic faith has done a great deal to shape the world – a statement that makes no value judgment about exactly how it has shaped the world. It has formed the dominant culture in what is known as the Islamic world for centuries. But what on earth could Obama mean when he says that Islam has also “done so much” to shape his own country?

Unless he considers himself an Indonesian, Obama’s statement was extraordinarily strange. After all, how has the Islamic faith shaped the United States? Were there Muslims along Paul Revere’s ride, or standing next to Patrick Henry when he proclaimed, “Give me liberty or give me death”? Were there Muslims among the framers or signers of the Declaration of Independence, which states that all men – not just Muslims, as Islamic law would have it – are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, including life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Were there Muslims among those who drafted the Constitution and vigorously debated its provisions, or among those who enumerated the Bill of Rights, which guarantees – again in contradiction to the tenets of Islamic law – that there should be no established national religion, and that the freedom of speech should not be infringed?

I don't care what anyone says, Obama is and always be a muslim. He was definately born one and raised as one. He was educated in a school listed as a muslim. The church he went to for 20+ years supports Hamas. He is going to destroy this country.

“Muslims have a different understanding of rape than Europeans, and this must be taken into account”

Why must it be taken into account? Why can't American and European officials say to Muslims, "You're in our country now, and you're going to abide by our rules"?

Islamic law regarding rape requires four males Muslim witnesses to establish that it happened, as per Qur'an 24:13. Women's rights groups accordingly ought to be resisting its encroachment into the West. We're still waiting.

Once again a German court ruled by referring to Shrai’a [sic] (Islamic law), which predominantly incites to denigration of women, hatred, violence.

Most recently, Lisa, a German woman (46) married to an Egyptian, called the police seeking protection for herself and her 17-year-old daughter from assaults by her husband. Magdi, Lisa’s husband, threatened to kill their daughter who had been raped by a man. Magdi, a practicing Muslim, believes that his daughter committed “Zena” (adultery). He told his wife that he was always suspicious of his daughter who clandestinely had a German boyfriend. Lisa filed a divorce case against her husband, and requested deporting him.

The judge, Matthias Rau, at a court in Hanover, Germany, ruled (January 21, 2009), Lisa had to wait for at least one year before she is legally divorced. Her husband cannot be deported. “He must be re-educated, in hopes he would renounce his Islamic understanding of ‘Zena,’” the judge said.

The German judge argued, “Muslims have a different understanding of rape than Europeans, and this must be taken into account.”

In an interview with a German radio, NDR on February 18, 2009, Rau said, “Sharia aligns rape to adultery, Zena, and victims – women – are often punished instead of prosecuting the perpetrators and convict them.”

Helmut Wagner, another German judge, this time in Essen, ruled March 2, 2009, Muslim girls in Germany can not be forced to swim in public and learn about the evolution theory at school. The parents of three school girls requested a verdict freeing their daughters from taking part in swimming classes and lessons which teach the evolution theory. Wagner argued, “These things contradict tenets in Islam, the religion of these girls, and hence in light of freedom of religion, the Muslim girls cannot be forced to do or learn things which are incompatible with their religion.”

The Attorney General was indignant. He objected to Wagner’s verdict by saying, “How would this judge rule if a Muslim kills someone who commits apostasy. According to the Koran, he must be killed. Would the judge let the perpetrator free?” The Attorney General cites the Koran which says,

“If they (Muslims) turn (their) back (to Islam), then seize them and KILL them wherever you find them, and take not from among them a friend or a helper.” (Sura 4, verse 89).

The attorney General added, “In Islam, polygamy is permissible. Should also this be sanctioned in Germany for Muslims? It seems to me that some German judges are more royal than the king and more Catholic than the Pope. Some Arab countries use Western legal codes.”

What is wrong with the leaders of the West? Don't they see that these muslims plan on taking over their countries? This is the stated goal of all muslims.

Armenians blast Obama for failing to acknowledge Armenian Genocide in Turkey

An Armenian-American group that backed Barack Obama in the election is now urging its members to call the White House to protest the president’s failure to recognize the “Armenian genocide.”

As many as 1.5 million Armenians living within the Ottoman Empire perished beginning in 1915 as the Turks fought World War 1. Armenians and most historians regard the deaths as state-sponsored mass killings, or genocide, while Turkey insists the death were the result of a civil war coupled with disease and famine.

During his presidential campaign, Obama pledged to recognize the deaths as genocide. He spoke in a January 2008 statement of his “firmly held conviction that the Armenian genocide is not an allegation, a personal opinion or a point of view, but rather a widely documented fact supported by an overwhelming body of historical evidence.”

The Washington, D.C.-based Armenian National Committee of America endorsed Obama, delivering large blocs of votes in swing states and tens of thousands of dollars in campaign donations, according to Politico.com.

But at a Monday press conference with Turkish President Abdullah Gul and in a later address to the Turkish Parliament, Obama declined to recognize the Armenian deaths as genocide....

I love how muslims like to call the battles between Hamas in Gaza and Israel a genocide. Only a handful of arabs have been killed by the Israelis. The muslims killed 1.5 million christians. That is a real genocide.

The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, had the occasion yesterday on the sidelines of the 2nd Forum of the Alliance of Civilizations (AoC), to have a brief encounter with US President, Mr. Barack Obama. The encounter took place during the official reception given by Turkish Prime Minister, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, where the President reiterated to the Secretary General the willingness and readiness of the US Administration to explore areas of cooperation with the Organization of the Islamic Conference.

To this end, President Obama extended an invitation to Prof. Ihsanoglu to visit the White House in Washington D.C.

These are the same people that would like to destroy the West from within. I personally believe that Obama was born a muslim, lived as a muslim and continues to follow the death cult of islam.

Kleve, Germany - German police charged Thursday that the grisly death of a 20-year-old ethnic Kurdish woman had been an 'honour killing,' and that her brother had confessed to the crime.

Germans have been outraged at a recent series of execution-style honour killings of young women by immigrant families.

The murder of Gulsum S, 20, on a lonely country road one month ago had been made to look as it were a robbery, said police in Kleve, near the Dutch border, as they announced the arrest and remand in custody of the victim's brother, 20, and father.

Prosecutors said Gulsum was lured by a false story to the side road near the small town of Rees on March 2. Her sibling, who was also a triplet to Gulsum, allegedly choked her unconscious with a clothes line. She was then clubbed to death.

The brother admitted to the killing, but the father denied the charge of joint murder, police said.

Police said the family had attempted to force Gulsum into a planned marriage and then discovered she was not a virgin and had undergone one or more abortions....

So they killed her for the families honor.

The Council On American-Islamic Relations joined with local human rights activists this morning to call for the release of Youssef Megahed, arrested Monday on immigration charges three days after he was acquitted in a federal trial.

Megahed's attorney said Monday the government is trying to deport Megahed based on the accusations he faced at trial - that he illegally possessed and transported explosives.

The charges came after Megahed, 23, and a friend were arrested in South Carolina in 2007 with what deputies said were pipe bombs in the trunk of their car.

The FBI later determined the items were PVC pipes stuffed with a "low explosives" mixture of potassium nitrate and sugar.

Megahed's defense attorneys argued that Megahed did not know his friend, Ahmed Mohamed, had placed the items in the trunk. The defense said the items were model rockets."

The immigration charges brought against Megahed are similar to the criminal charges, said Ramzy Kilic, executive director of the Tampa chapter of the Council On American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR. Kilic and others called on the Justice Department to respect the jury's verdict....

Megahed's father, Samir, also spoke at the news conference, held at the CAIR offices. Samir Megahed praised the American justice system Friday after his son, who faced up to 20 years in prison, was acquitted by a jury in Tampa.

He expressed disappointment today.

"My feeling is I'm not living in the United States," Samir Megahed said. "I am not living under the American flag. The American flag has meaning. America is the country of freedom. I think there is no freedom here. For Muslims there is no freedom."

Is that so? When were they denied the right to vote? When were they denied the right to free assembly? Where are the camps for Muslims?

In America, Muslims are freer than they are in any Muslim country. Samir Megahed is essentially demanding that the United States not defend itself against the jihad threat. Only a fool would heed him, but of course there are many fools.

He is a terrorist living in the US. He needs to be deported. I would love to know how he was acquitted.

The world's youngest terror suspect... ready to blow himself up at the age of 11

A would-be suicide bomber aged 11 has been arrested alongside Taliban fighters.

Known only as Abdullah, the youngster was caught crossing the mountains from Pakisrtan's tribal region into Afghanistan wearing a jacket packed with explosives.

Police say he is the youngest terror recruit they have ever come across. Abdullah has also become Afghanistan's youngest prisoner but he is still being held at a top security prison in the capital, Kabul.

Originally from Peshawar in Pakistan, Abudullah was training to be a suicide bomber and had learned the principles of jihad - holy war - at the religious school in Pakistan where he was taught.

Abdullah was interviewed by ITV News's International Editor Bill Neely, who wrote about the visit in the Mirror.

Mr Neely said he was shocked at the picture of innocence before him.

'I'd been told I would meet a youth who had been arrested with a group of Taliban fighters – but I didn't expect the picture of apparent innocence that confronted me,' he said.

'I watched this little boy speak, his high-pitched voice so innocent, pouring out the detail of an adventure he had clearly relished.'

Mr Neely said Abdullah's days were spent reading the Koran and his evenings were taken up learning how to load weapons and how foreigners came to Muslim lands to kill them.

Abdullah's younger brother Amin, 10, is also a student at the same school.

Abdullah told the journalist, his favourite weapon of choice was the Kalashnikov because he found the trigger of the pistol hard to pull.

When Mr Neely asked the 11-year-old how felt about becoming a suicide bomber he said he knew he 'would end up in pieces.'

He also said he knew the difference between suicide and sacrifice and that he wanted to kill non-Muslims when he grew up 'so they can't come to our homes and kill us.'

It is not yet clear what authorities will do with the boy but it is likely he will be returned back to his religious school.

This kid is completely brainwashed. He is ready and willing to die in the name of allah the pagan moon god. Since our federal judges say that prisoners can now have access to our courts, I say just kill him. Take no prisoners.

Mecca mosques 'wrongly aligned'

Some 200 mosques in Islam's holiest city, Mecca, point the wrong way for prayers, reports from Saudi Arabia say.

All mosques have a niche showing the direction of the most sacred Islamic site, the Kaaba, an ancient cube-like building in Mecca's Grand Mosque.

But people looking down from recently built high-rises in Mecca found the niches in many older mosques were not pointing directly towards the Kaaba.

Some worshippers are said to be anxious about the validity of their prayers.

There have been suggestions that laser beams could be used to make an exact measurement.

Tawfik al-Sudairy, Islamic affairs ministry deputy secretary, downplayed the problem in remarks quoted by the pan-Arab newspaper al-Hayat.

"There are no major errors but corrections have been made for some old mosques, thanks to modern techniques," he said.

"In any case, it does not affect the prayers."

Jordanian mans stabs sister to death

Amman: Jordan's Criminal Court has charged a 19-year-old man with stabbing to death his sister in what is believed to be an honour killing.

Judge Jihad Al Dridi charged the man on Monday with premeditated murder and the possession of a dangerous weapon.

Al Dridi said the man confessed to repeatedly stabbing his 22-year-old sister to cleanse the family honour because she left the house too often.

The victim is the eighth person to be killed in honour crimes this year.

The name of the man and the victim were not revealed due to the sensitivity of the case.

Oh, and by the way, islam had nothing to do with this.
