Muslim mother who forced her school-age daughters to marry their cousins is jailed for 3 years

A 'wicked and cruel' mother has been jailed for three years after forcing her two young daughters to marry their cousins in Pakistan.
The Muslim woman hoodwinked the pair, aged 14 and 15, into thinking they were going on a family holiday.
But when the schoolgirls arrived they discovered preparations were being made for them to marry their first cousins in a joint ceremony.
Yesterday, in what is being seen as a landmark case, a judge condemned the mother's actions and claimed she had been 'wholly misguided'.
She was convicted of child sex offences and attempting to pervert the course of justice as there is no current law which bans forced marriage.
Judge Clement Goldstone QC told the woman: 'Everyone is entitled to his or her beliefs and is to be encouraged to practise in accordance with those beliefs and to live a life which embraces the culture of those beliefs.
'But those who choose to live in this country and who, like you, are British subjects, must not abandon our laws in the practice of those beliefs and that culture.
'If they do, they will face the consequences.'
Manchester Crown Court heard the two sisters were forced to marry their cousins in July 2007.
After the ceremony the 39-year-old mother told her elder daughter that unless she consumated the marriage, she would 'tie her to the bed, blindfold her and strip her' and watch to make sure she had sex with her new husband.
She was arrested when her daughters confided in their teachers in February last year, after returning to the UK. Both sisters were taken into care. None of those involved in the case can be identified.
The court heard the defendant had acted to protect her family's reputation in the Muslim community after the elder girl became pregnant and had an abortion following a relationship with an older man.
Judge Goldstone told the woman: 'It seems to be the case that you did not realise that what you did was wicked.
'You probably thought then and you continue to think now that even forced marriage was in the best interests of your daughters - one of whom in any case was a handful and who was not toeing the traditional line. That is a wholly misguided view.
'Forced marriage is cruel. It deprives children, your children, of their basic human rights.
'It must be and will be distinguished by the courts from arranged marriage, which is conventional in many cultures, and in which these basic rights are preserved.'
Plans to make forced marriage a specific criminal offence were proposed in 2004 but were dropped by ministers after a backlash.
The Muslim Council of Britain opposed the plan, claiming it could lead to the Muslim community being further 'stigmatised'.
Ministers admitted they feared a new law would be 'resented as an intrusion into minority cultures and religions'.
Currently police take action against individuals for the crimes they commit when forcing someone into marriage, such as assault, kidnap, abduction or sexual offences.
A victim, friend or police can also apply for a Forced Marriage Protection Order which forbids families from taking anyone abroad for marriage, seizing passports or intimidating victims.
Penalties for breaching an order include up to two years' imprisonment.

A radical Muslim cleric who preached death to Americans now wants their money for what he says was torture suffered in Egypt following a CIA kidnapping. Here he rolls up his sleeve to show the cameras his scar. (Unfortunately, Daniel Pearl couldn't be on hand to show his).

Muslim terrorists need to be killed on site. Period.

One in seven freed Guantanamo detainees returns to jihad

The Pentagon report containing this information has not been released thus far. Why? "Two administration officials who spoke on condition of anonymity said the report was being held up by Defense Department employees fearful of upsetting the White House."

WASHINGTON — An unreleased Pentagon report provides new details concluding that about one in seven of the 534 prisoners already transferred abroad from the detention center in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, has returned to terrorism or militant activity, according to administration officials.

The conclusion could strengthen the arguments of critics who have warned against the transfer or release of any more detainees as part of President Obama’s plan to shut down the prison by January 2010. Past Pentagon reports on Guantánamo recidivism have been met with skepticism from civil liberties groups and criticized for their lack of detail.

The Pentagon promised in January that the latest report would be released soon, but Bryan Whitman, a Pentagon spokesman, said this week that the findings were still “under review.”

Two administration officials who spoke on condition of anonymity said the report was being held up by Defense Department employees fearful of upsetting the White House, at a time when even Congressional Democrats have begun to show misgivings over Mr. Obama’s plan to close Guantánamo.

The White House has said Mr. Obama will provide further details about those plans in a speech Thursday.

To relocate the 240 prisoners now at Guantánamo Bay, administration officials have said the plan will ultimately rely on some combination of sending some overseas for release, transferring others to the custody of foreign governments, and moving the rest to facilities in the United States. either for military or civilian trials, or in some cases, perhaps, to be held without charges.

But the prospect that detainees might be moved to American soil has run into strong opposition in Congress. To show its misgivings, the Senate voted on Wednesday, 90 to 6, to cut from a war-spending bill the $80 million requested by Mr. Obama to shutter the prison, and overwhelmingly approved a second amendment requiring that a threat-assessment be prepared for each prisoner now at Guantánamo to address what might happen on release.

The F.B.I. director, Robert S. Mueller III, said Wednesday that moving detainees to American prisons would bring with the risks including “the potential for individuals undertaking attacks in the United States.”

But Michele A. Flournoy, the under secretary of defense for policy, said of the detainees: “I think there will be some that need to end up in the United States.”...

Minneapolis Muslim pleads guilty to aiding Al-Qaeda

Still more jihad in America news. A "man," a "Minneapolis resident," a "naturalized Canadian citizen of Somali descent," for some unknown, unstated reason got mixed up with Al-Qaeda. Now why on earth would this man, this resident, this citizen, have done such a thing? True to form, Reuters offers no clue.

WASHINGTON, May 20 (Reuters) - A Minneapolis resident has pleaded guilty to conspiring to provide material support to al Qaeda and faces a prison term of up to 15 years, the U.S. Justice Department said on Wednesday.

Mohammed Abdullah Warsame, a naturalized Canadian citizen of Somali descent, was indicted in January, 2004, charged with one count of conspiracy to provide material support to al Qaeda, which plotted the September attacks.

Warsame, 35, faces a statutory maximum sentence of 15 years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine. The Justice Department said Warsame has agreed to be deported to Canada after his sentence is served.

According to the plea agreement, Warsame attended an al Qaeda training camp in Afghanistan in 2000, sent money to one of his former training camp commanders and met fugitive al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden....

This guy was from somalia, then Canada and now a citizen of the US.

Obama will imprison some Gitmo detainees in U.S.

Despite fierce opposition in Congress: they don't want to be on record having voted for this when one of these guys breaks out of an American prison and launches a jihad attack on American soil.

"Obama says US prisons tough enough for detainees," by Steven R. Hurst for Associated Press, May 21 (thanks to James):

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama said Thursday some of the terror suspects held at Guantanamo would be brought to prisons in the United States despite fierce opposition in Congress. He promised to work with lawmakers to develop a system for imprisoning detainees who can't be tried and can't be turned loose.

"There are no neat or easy answers here," Obama said in a speech in which he pledged anew to "clean up the mess at Guantanamo" that he said the nation had inherited from the Bush administration.

Obama conceded that some of the detainees would end up in U.S. prisons and insisted those facilities were tough enough to house even the most dangerous inmates.

Obama decried arguments used against his plans.

"We will be ill-served by the fear-mongering that emerges whenever we discuss this issue," he declared.

Yeah. Nothing to fear here. What could go wrong?

The muslim is mad that the House and Senate decided that Club GITMO members need to stay in Club GITMO, not bring them here. Now the head nigger in charge says that he is going to bring them here anyway. FUCK YOU Obama.

NYC synagogue jihadist's uncle: "He wasn't raised this way. All this happened when he became a Muslim in prison."

And how many more have been similarly indoctrinated in U.S. prisons? An ideal outcome of this case would be a thorough re-evaluation of Islamic proselytizing in prisons, the appointment of chaplains, and the activity of inmates. But that is not likely to happen as long as it remains an article of politically correct faith that there is nothing fundamentally wrong with Islamic teachings with respect to warfare and human rights. More on this story. "NYC terror case latest of many homegrown plots," by Michael Hill and Jim Fitzgerald for the Associated Press, May 21:

NEWBURGH, N.Y. – The four men were ex-convicts who envisioned themselves as holy warriors, ambitious enough to concoct a plot to blow up synagogues and military planes, authorities said.

But they were amateurs every step of the way. They had trouble finding guns and bought cameras at Wal-Mart to photograph their targets. One was a convicted purse snatcher, another smoked marijuana the day the plot was to be carried out.

Muslims fueled by hatred of America and Jews, they spent months scouting targets and securing what they thought was a surface-to-air missile system and powerful explosives — all under the watch of an FBI informant.

The four were arrested late Wednesday outside a synagogue in the Bronx, following a long line of homegrown, headline-making terror plots since Sept. 11 that never came close to reality because the FBI inserted itself in the earliest stages.

The bombs they planted outside two synagogues Wednesday were useless, packed with inert explosives supplied by the FBI instead of the Pakistani terrorist group they had pledged to support, according to a criminal complaint.

Still, officials see the case as a vivid reminder of risks the U.S. faces from homegrown terrorists.

"It's hard to envision a more chilling plot," assistant U.S. attorney Eric Snyder said. "These are extremely violent men."

James Cromitie, David Williams, Onta Williams and Laguerre Payen were calm as they appeared in court Thursday with their hands shackled, to answer charges of conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction within the United States and conspiracy to acquire and use anti-aircraft missiles. They did not enter pleas and were held without bail; they face life in prison if convicted.

Besides destroying the two synagogues in the heavily Jewish Riverdale section of the Bronx, they intended to shoot down planes at the Air National Guard base in Newburgh, about 50 miles north of New York City, prosecutors said.

This is one more reason not to bring the terrorists from Club GITMO to the US. There should be no islam allowed in US prisons. We don't see Christians or Jews coming out and getting ready to blow people up.
