Beheading of Wife Poses Another Test for U.S. Muslims

The crime was so brutal, shocking and rife with the worst possible stereotypes about their faith that some U.S. Muslims thought the initial reports were a hoax.

Of course they did. How could a muslim behead someone? This is not in their character now, is it?.

The harsh reality of what happened in an affluent suburb of Buffalo, New York — the beheading of 37-year-old Aasiya Hassan and arrest of her estranged husband in the killing — is another crucible for American Muslims.

Now, as Muzzammil "Mo" Hassan faces second-degree murder charges, those American Muslims who have spoken out are once again explaining that their faith abhors such horrible acts, and they are using the tragedy as a rallying cry against domestic violence.

The killing and its aftermath raise hard questions for Muslims — about gender issues, about distinctions between cultural and religious practices, and about differing interpretations of Islamic texts regarding the treatment of women.

"Muslims don't want to talk about this for good reason," said Saleemah Abdul-Ghafur, a Muslim author and activist. "There is so much negativity about Muslims, and it sort of perpetuates it. The right wing is going to run with it and misuse it. But we've got to shine a light on this issue so we can transform it."

"I wouldn't say (the problem) is particular to the Muslim community, but to the immigrant community whether you're Muslim or otherwise," Anwar, whose parents are from India, said in an interview. "Women don't speak up about it. It's a taboo that all immigrant communities sort of face."

The muslim community is not to blame, it is all immigrants? I don't remember hearing about the Irish and Polish communities having beheadings? Could not be the religion. Naaa. The koran does have verses that specifically call for beheadings. I am not sure about any other religion having that in their books, but then again the koran is the last book from god. Sure.

His wife does not cover her hands – should he threaten to divorce her?

This is from Islam Q&A. I love this. This is in their own words.

What should I do if my wife refuses to cover her hands, even though I asked her to do that from the beginning, then I commanded her to, but she refuses? What do you say if I threaten her with divorce?.

Allaah has enjoined woman to be obedient to her husband, and has made men qawwaamoon (protectors and maintainers) of women. They are supposed to direct and look after women as a leader directs and looks after his people, because of the physical and mental characteristics with which Allaah has distinguished them, as well as the financial duties that He has enjoined upon them. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allaah has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means”

If the wife goes against his wishes and refuses to obey him, the husband has to take a gradual approach in handling the matter. First he should admonish her and remind her of the punishment for disobeying his command. If that does not succeed, then he moves on to forsaking her in bed. If that does not work, then he may hit her, but in a manner that is not severe, and there is nothing wrong with also threatening her with divorce.

You see woman are really property. It says so in the koran, the terrorist training manual. Still believe that crap that islam respects muslims?

SOMALI VS AFGHANI RACE WAR FLARES IN MULTICULTURAL BRITAIN

More sickening evidence of the "success" of rampant muslim immigration and multiculturalism in Great Britain - knife crime and murders are becoming commonplace - causing the Great Britain to now be considered one of the "knife crime capitals" of the developed world. Also alarming is the expose' that the numbers of knife crimes committed in Britain are far greater than government statistics.
Somalian immigrants, coming into the UK, are also importing terrorism as per this recent article.

The scary part about this kind of behavior is that my apartment complex is now taking on "refugees" from Somalia and Iraq. We have already had two home invasions by "black men" against two of the Iraqis. The first was three men in broad daylight with guns. They took everything, whatever that means, from one of the Iraqis living in my building. There are virtually no Mexicans here anymore. Now we have muslims running all over dressed in their bags from head to toe. The men don't work. Guess who is paying for all this? US.

Pakistan taking steps in right direction: Hillary

Hillary has made it a point to express continued support to Pakistan, implying that the government of "the land of the pure" -- which recently surrendered to the jihadis in the Swat Valley by supporting full sharia law -- is taking steps in the right direct. Indeed, according to the U.S. Defense Secretary, the U.S. too may begin to look for a similar "compromise" in Afghanistan. "Pakistan taking steps in right direction: Hillary," from the Daily Times, February 22:

LAHORE: The United States has assured Pakistan of continued support for efforts to eliminate terrorism and extremism, a private TV channel reported on Saturday.

According to the channel, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton telephoned President Asif Ali Zardari in China and assured him Washington would continue to help Islamabad in its efforts to eradicate terrorism. Clinton also said she was looking forward to meeting Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in Washington on Monday.

Released Guantanamo man accused of plotting to detonate a dirty bomb "can settle in UK"

Out to "settle" with infidels one way or another

A UK resident soon to be released from Guantanamo Bay is unlikely to face harassment by British authorities, says the UK reviewer of terror laws.

Lord Carlile said he thought Binyam Mohamed would be "given every opportunity, subject to the law, to integrate himself back" into society.

Mr Mohamed has been detained since 2002 and spent more than four years at the controversial US military base in Cuba.

It is not clear if the Ethiopian-born man will be allowed to stay in the UK.

On Friday, Foreign Secretary David Miliband said agreement had been reached with the US for 30-year-old Mr Mohamed's return "as soon as the practical arrangements can be made".
Liberal Democrat peer Lord Carlile is the independent reviewer of terror laws for the government.

He said: "I would expect a light and gentle touch to be applied to ensure that he [Mr Mohamed] is not harassed in any way by the authorities and is given every opportunity, subject to the law, to integrate himself back into British society."

He told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: "I hope very much, and I trust, that he will be given every facility available to be able to return to a normal life as a British resident."

The US had accused Mr Mohamed of involvement in a plot to detonate a "dirty bomb" in America, but all charges against him were dropped last year.

Mr Mohamed claims he was tortured into falsely confessing to terrorism and alleges UK MI5 officers were complicit in his abuse...

Sure he was tortured. Right out of the terrorist training manual. Claim torture, now you are the victim. Of course the muslims are always being persecuted. The UK are going to go out of their way to make this guy feel right at home. They will give him a place to live, money to live on and all the while he will be going to a mosque somewhere planning the next attack in England. Dhimmi's.
