In the majority Muslim village of Bathuni-Muradpur, government authorities have given the minority Sikh community permission to establish a pig farm. The followers of the religion of peace are outraged. Muslim families allege that the pigs wander in the streets and even accuse Sikhs of pushing pigs into Muslim homes to "hurt their sentiments."
Obviously, some diversity and tolerance training is needed. In any event, the pigs have caused hundreds of Muslims to take to the streets in protest against the Sikh community.
The protests were led by Haji Akbar Hussain and Safia Begum – the elderly residents.
Talking to Rising Kashmir, Safia Begum said that in the interview on Friday and Saturday, Sikh community members intentionally pushed these pigs into the houses of Muslims to hurt their sentiments.
She said that a dozen pigs were seen coming out of the house of Master Abdul Gani "These pigs were wandering in their kitchen and near water tanks," she said. “They had earlier objected to this farm but their pleas fell to deaf ears.”
Master Abdul Gani, a resident of the village said: “We are ready to die but will not live among pigs. The matter was already taken up by the Muslim community with police, Tehsildar and District Development Commissioner Rajouri but nothing was sorted out.”
The protestors alleged that on Saturday when the Muslim community approached the local Sikhs to lodge their protest and request them to close this farm, they were shown rifles and pushed back.
“We were shown rifles and warned that if we move toward their houses they will open fire," Safia Begum alleged. "Krishan Singh, Sadakar Singh, Babu Singh and Shamsher Singh showed us rifles and threaten to kill us."
The Muslims allege that the Indian Army supplied the pigs to the Sikhs and have called for an investigation.
It looks to me the the Sikhs know how to handle unrully muslims. Shoot them! Or threaten to shoot them. We need to do the same here in the US when the muslims start to get upetty.
