Hillary has made it a point to express continued support to Pakistan, implying that the government of "the land of the pure" -- which recently surrendered to the jihadis in the Swat Valley by supporting full sharia law -- is taking steps in the right direct. LAHORE: The United States has assured Pakistan of continued support for efforts to eliminate terrorism and extremism, a private TV channel reported on Saturday.
According to the channel, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton telephoned President Asif Ali Zardari in China and assured him Washington would continue to help Islamabad in its efforts to eradicate terrorism. Clinton also said she was looking forward to meeting Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in Washington on Monday.
